I only read this sad news at lunchtime today.
I'm not a crier.  I don't ever cry when there is some sad story on the news.  I've never understood how anyone could cry at the death of a celebrity or a member of the royal family, people they've probably never met.
Yet for most of this afternoon I found myself blubbing my eyes out over the loss of b4.  I've never met Daniel.  Being an infrequent poster I've only read his messages on this forum.
B4 was the definition of a supporter.  Towards the end of a season I'll find myself looking at the fixtures imagining an unexpected turn around of form, an amazing sequence of results that will project Derby into the playoffs or autos.  Of course I'll never publicly express these dreams, we've mostly been conditioned as adults to have a cynical outlook.  B4 believed though and was not afraid to say so.
I hope B4s family and friends can take some comfort from these messages.  He will be missed.

Or, last night should never have happened and we should be beating them in the first game. 

The main issue with the loss is the team he put out. I don't think anyone would have minded if we had lost with 2-4 academy lads getting a game.

Saturday was okay we scored 2 goals off long free kicks but you’ve got to score them somehow. The other a soft penalty. Still didn’t like our overall play but when you win who cares. When you don’t win then this is what is looked at. What really annoys me more than anything with warne is his inability to change a game when it’s not going his way. Also what is the point of a cat 1 academy if the manager doesn’t at least throw them in a cup game when we have 12 senior players who played 3 days earlier. At least Rooney and Rosenior would have chucked them in. 
 
if I was an academy prospect I’d look at other teams than derby with the current set up as with this manager I don’t see a pathway to the first team

What tonight demonstrated is that Warne, his coaches and the squad learned absolutely nothing from the last game against Crewe.
Scandalous really.

People saying it's the players to blame.  I was prepared to believe it was the players last season.  Time and time again.  But Warnes had two windows now, brought in a dozen or so new players.  And it's still the players to blame?  When we have been this inconsistent for this long you can't keep saying it's the players.  

I semi expected a half-arsed performance tonight based on the fact that we've really struggled against the poorer sides this season. What I didn't expect is to see absolutely no youth whatsoever in the starting line-up.
On Saturday the game was over after around 65 minutes. Barnsley had given up, we were in complete control and carving them open at every opportunity. Perfect opportunity to give Weston or Robinson some minutes who would be on a high after the midweek game. We see neither. Okay, perhaps he's saving them for the FA cup game midweek I naively think to myself. We see neither again and instead only see Fapetu for 7 minutes in a desperate, panicked double substitution with Bradley as a last roll of the dice.
No Brown who is on fire in the academy, no Weston who scored for the senior team last week, no Robinson who has Prem clubs sniffing after him, instead we go for a 6'5 CB who we can rifle in diagonal crosses too. It's such a negative, backwards decision that genuinely makes me fear for the academy under Warne. Why would you choose to come here as a youngster when the manager won't even give a couple a chance in a game against league two opposition?
Losing tonight with half a team of kids would have meant nothing tonight. We would have dusted ourselves off and said oh well our focus is on the league. Instead our first team gets comprehensively beaten, the knives are out for Warne again, the fans are annoyed and our youngsters miss out on vital experience. A masterclass in mismanagement.

Doesnt sound like it but can anyone explain why would one ever bring Bradley on at 1-3 down in a cup competition? 

We've been outlasted in this competition by Alfreton Town.
 

Weston had scored the previous game, his confidence was high. We had the opportunity to build on that but we didn't. The game tonight was in need of someone to step up and show what they could do. I fear all we have done there is waste the feel good factor for Weston. Poor management.

No I wouldn't.
Weston was crying out for minutes on Saturday. I wouldn't have started him, but at 3 nil it would have made more sense bringing Weston on than Sonny Bradley.
 

He's told Bradley to go on and defend Crewe's goal. We'll score any second.

At least we've brought Bradley on for the final 5 minutes to help us pull back 2 goals.

Because Warne is clueless.
Weston earnt a place in the team but Warne showed on Saturday he has no intention of playing him.
Terrible management.

As things stand, Derby are heading out of the FA Cup in the first round for the first time in their history...ever.

Do you know what, after hearing the news of B4 over the weekend, my attitude to a lot of things will change, especially DCFC. 
Walking away from the ground on Saturday after the game (before hearing about B4 passing), i felt more positive about the team.
I'll certainly keep that positivity going now because nothing would give us all more pleasure than to see Derby promoted in memory of Daniel. 

I hope he wouldn’t mind me saying this, but he did tell me the reason when I was standing with him at (I think) Plymouth away.
He said he didn’t like pink because it’s a “girl’s colour”, but he didn’t want to say it publicly out of fear of offending @angieram!
