The academy is there to bring in players then sell for a profit, we have managed to do that on a player in less than 6 months. 1.4m for 2 players in Plange & Williams who have little 1st team experience whilst we are in admin so unable to offer them new deals is pretty good business to me.

If he's a free agent in the summer, then getting £1 million and a loan back is surely brilliant business? If Premier League clubs want him, they'll take him in the summer (for nothing) anyway, even if we're not embargoed then.

I'd be angry and disappointed if this is the case. The EFL are continuing to just choose which rules to apply and when.
Its another striker who could be a 20-goal a year striker being let go.

You know I think sometimes you can look for too many reasons, too deep as to why we wasn’t at our best, yet this stood out most for me. Put Shinnie instead of one of those pair and we might have had more control of midfield; really think against the bigger teams, he’s a massive loss. Let’s hope Bielik isn’t out for too long.

I think this is why we hope Bielik is OK to play - Bird and Thompson both need to alternate being alongside Bielik to give them a breather and also will help their game.
Buchanan needs to come back now and share with Forsyth but perhaps Buchanan playing the majority.
