Tonight is the first time for a long time that I’ve felt we have a proper football club again. 
 
It feels like the season is going to be a great one. 

Think this is a shrewd signing, different to Collins as he runs about a lot where as Collins is more of a poacher. Think Washington would complement the wingers and fullbacks a lot with his running down the channels. Give me a proper fox in the box and some creative number 10s and next season looks promising 

Get behind the lad.
1 in 3 striker at this level.
He won't be the only striker we sign. 
Plus by all accounts he works his arse off.

Elder's followed pretty much the whole Derby squad and then Sonny randomly in the middle.

I will repeat what my Charlton season ticket holders mates at work all agreed with 
Washington will be a fans favourite because he works tirelessly and gives 100 per cent 
yes he’s not a goal scorer in general but they said the others around him scored loads because of him creating space for others 
there words were get the right players around him and he will very important to your side …all of the players who were scoring regularly all had barren spell after he went 
They said they’d have him back in a heartbeat 
so just passing this on 

BRADLEY 

Noticed on Instagram this evening that Sonny Bradley and Callum Elder have recently followed each other. Never played together before and just found it strange how in the past day they’ve followed one another. There could be something in it as why would footballers who have never really crossed paths apart from playing against each other start following one another with all this speculation? 
 
My striker targets would be:
1. Sam Nombe 
2. Will Keane 
3. Sam Smith

Just watched Collins interview with ramstv says he’s spoken to a couple players who he expects to come in. Putting 2+2 together Sonny Bradley and Mark Harris spring to mind 

If we wanted Alfie May he would have come.
Personally I'd go for Sam Smith. Not long turned 25. So 5 years younger than May. 13 goals last season and 15 the season before. Both in League One in a poor side. 
Only 25 so potential to improve. If he's getting 15 goals for Cambridge there's no reason he couldn't do that here. 
I'd imagine he will have a lot of interest though.

As a respected tweeter has pointed out PW has gone from saying that if Derby are in for a player it’s basically a done deal because of the size of the club. To now saying that half the league are competing with us for signatures. 
 
Also to my knowledge Bielik’s wage was included in this years budget. So if we can’t sign a couple of decent strikers with that then it’s a bad job….I get we can’t splash the cash Willy nilly but if we start the season with Collins as our main striker then questions need to be asked.

It’s one that might grow on me, would’ve preferred if it was more similar to the kit it’s based on, but it’s about 50x better than the awful effort we had last year. Probably one of Umbro’s better efforts with us during this spell.

I suspect both Flint and Bradley are waiting at least till the end of this week to avoid Warne’s lung busting first week back fitness routine. It is no coincidence that Mendez-Laing is playing for Guatemala at the moment. Never interested him before, but when the alternative is coughing his guts up, and blowing out of his arse, whilst running 20 miles a day, I suspect old Nate would have been just as happy to have made his international debut for North Korea.

Feel like we’d be crazy not to be in for Alfie May.
I get peoples concerns about his age and the fact he’s only had a couple of decent seasons, as to whether he can step up to our level. But it’s really not that much of a gamble if he’s available for 200k - that shouldn’t deplete our budget too much. And with the amount of goals he’s scored, can we really afford to let someone else get hold of him?
We’re crying out for a goal scorer now McGoldrick is gone, and this guy seems the ideal replacement to me. Granted, I’ve only seen him play a couple of times, but I remember us giving him loads of s*** from the away end at Cheltenham - and that was because he was by far the best player on the pitch. 
We need two strikers anyway, so it’s not like he’d even have to be the starter. He just seems a much more worthwhile gamble than Washington.

The perfect player to cover both wingback positions would be Steven Sessegnon who was released by Fulham. 23 and had a couple solid loan spells and can play both wingback roles comfortably 

Hopefully, tomorrow will see a signing which has been on hold until this one has gone through.

I just hope that when our attacking options are announced I can see a clear plan and logic to how we might score more goals.
Ideally, I’d like two younger players with a bit of pace, one big, one sharp.
Collins from Bristol Rovers would be nice, perhaps with a youngster from a Prem squad.

Any rumours?
 

Good news. Even if the fee is used to pay off existing instalments, the fact we’ll have 30k off the wage bill would allow us to bring in 4 really good players at this level for the same outlay.
