Will be fine I should think! Think the worst of it’s passed now. Supposed to be dry the next few hours.
Dry and sunshine all afternoon

Just under 7,000 tickets left for today
Almost 1000 less than when I counted yesterday. Maybe all the people queueing for ST’s are also adding a few on for today?

Well, we. have all been calling for the ticket office to open properly, and now it is open for us to collect our tickets, we start complaining we have to go and get them ? At least we are moving forward it seems !

Already people moaning about having to collect them. If they'd been post only, folks would have been moaning about that too.
Maybe those of us fairly local to Derby should pick ours up in the weeks before the game, so that only those travelling from afar have got to queue on the matchday?
I know there's quite a lot of you.
Shouldn't be too bad in person now as the days of 20K + ST holders are well behind us, so it may not be mega busy ?

Well written piece. Haven't been to St James... It looks good on TV, but is it in reality getting tatty?
St James Park is a mixture of old stands and new ones (that are way to big) and when you sit in the upper tiers of the newer stands you look down on the roofs of the older stands. The atmosphere is none existent in the upper reaches of the stands, and looking down on the pitch the players are so far away they look like toys.It is not a very joined together place, hampered by the fact it is in the middle off the city centre, so expansion has been lopsided due to the existing buildings in the immediatley surrounding areas being "in the way". The best thing for Newcastle United would be to build a brand new purpose built modern stadium and knock down their current ground.(IMO)

I wonder why it was possible on Wednesday but not tomorrow. Bei Interesting to know if there were many last minute ticket sales v Reading and that is perhaps why they are not doing it again.
Staffing issues.

Hi All, genuine question.
The club is short staffed currently and still cannot open the ticket office for example. Who would volunteer to work to get things open so that for example people could buy tickets from the ticket office ? I have offered to work for free on match day mornings for example, and to get the Ticket office open earlier than 10AM.
Any one else willing ? There must be retired people who could staff in the week?

Comparing Wednesday's crowd to Huddersfield/Boro for example I would say we have round 4K more home fans in than those games. (The midweek crowds were low everywhere it seems). Factoring in some traffic issues and the missing ST holders midweek, and also as others have said probably up to 1000 more away fans we should be nearer the 23K mark tomorrow. Also I think we are already around 1000 more up on the online sales compared to Wednesday.

A38 shut until 8 p.m, so no chance of getting to the match tonight if you live in the Burton area.
Daughter just drove from work in Swad to the PP area in 40 minutes , left at 5pm.

So many things now are going to be hit by the fuel shortage. Probably can't get to Derby now this week.
Tickets printed - but nil petrol in my part of the West Midlands.
So many workers - and doctors, teachers, essential workers - not getting fuel.
What a pathetically-governed country we live in.
Fuel shortage completely down to poor reporting and panic by stupid people. there is no shortage of fuel and never was, the shortage now has been inflicted by idiots.

We're told that there's 7 wonders of the world, Well actually there's 8, That penalty was the 8th, I'm still wondering how the ref gave it, I was there that night, Why did we play it on a Friday night?
We had a backlog of fixtures, played Rotherham on Friday and then away to Darlington the following Monday. We finished out backlog games after the final day had happened.wouldn’t happen nowadays of course.

Maybe MSD will want to protect their current investment and step in to take overall control when they can ?
