I see that Peterborough have sold out their tickets according to their website. Just wondered if they were given the full 3000 allocation as they had only sold 1600 tickets a couple of days ago.

    Yes interesting

    TICKET NEWS

The game is a sell-out. No tickets remain for the fixture. Those that have ordered tickets, can collect from the Weston Homes Stadium up until 5pm on Friday. Those that don’t will be able to collect from Derby County.

After the Birmingham game a meeting was held and away allocations are to be reduced due to the amount of trouble there was, apparently.

How did clubs amortise before Bosman ruling came in? Did they estimate what a player would be worth at the end of the players contract and then apply straight line amortisation to that estimated value?

or is they just take whatever the value of the players value is from time time and if lower than what they paid that’s the depreciated value.

I suspect the latter … which isn’t much different from what Derby’s method was . So why should Bosman have changed the accounting standard? It just meant most clubs decided to be prudent , I think.. it changed the normal practice but didn’t change the rule.

Derbys method was less prudent but not in breach of any rule as far as I can tell.

Yes, before Bosman a players registration was kept by the club once a contract expired. So the club had an end value, Bosman argued this was unfair and a player should become a free agent at the end of a contract.

I’m really disappointed with the ticket office this morning. I’m not very quick with on line ticket purchases so went down to the ground early to get them for the Luton game. I thought the tickets would have been shared out a little bit between online, phone and ticket office. We were first in the queue but the office staff were slow to start proceedings so we missed out, the bloke behind got his cos the cashier was quicker then they were all gone! Only managed to get 4 aways this season so far as finance and commitments hasn’t allowed us to go more than this.

Imagine if you had been to every away game this season, but because you do not also have a membership, tickets were not even made available for sale to you...

Personally, I carry printed copies of the EFL rules and the DC/LAP written reasons wherever I go. You never know when someone is going to start asking awkward questions, and it's always good to have the option of getting it out and waving it around.  And the printouts are useful too...

I have it bookmarked and saved on my phone, but I did not want to hand my phone over !

A lot of people believe all this is about selling our stadium. They don’t even realise that we had an accounting policy which was ok with the efl one minute then not the next.

Yep, I met a Boro fan in my local last week, and he absolutely believes it is still about this. I offered to print off the first DC report where the stadium sale was upheld, so he read it and understand what is going on. He had no idea that the sale of the club was being held up by the claim for Boro being classified as a football creditors debt.

Wikipeadia says the record league attendance was against Liverpool in 2000 at 33378, there could have been very little in the way of segregation for that!?

...and no cameras for live tv
