I've thoroughly enjoyed my relaxed mood, be it on the way to a game, sat watching, or even on the way home... regardless of the result.
 
I'm putting that down to the position we were in back in the summer.  Almost dead.  Not enough players to field a team, etc.
I've had (and still have) hopes of course, but the overriding thing for me has been the "Lack of EXPECTATION".   Mid-table would be more than fine, given the starting point.  No pressure to win games.  No pressure to achieve promotion at the first attempt.  Happy just to have my club stay alive.
I've smiled more this season.  I've ranted less.  I guess that means I must have enjoyed it!  

If I shed any tears whatsoever over the coming weeks, I just know they will be tears of joy.  There'll be no sad tears from me, regardless of what happens in the run in.

After the torture of last season I felt an enormous connection to the club and when DC bought us I knew right away he was going to be the right owner for us. I therefore bought my first season ticket in 28 years, renewed my away membership and even bought a subscription to the programme. 
I’ve been to away matches in places I’d never heard of, sang my heart out with people half my age and had an absolute blast. I’ve felt emotional looking across the stands at the numbers of Rams fans who have packed in home and away to watch the likes of Morecambe or Forest Green, and I’ve gone back to talking about teams selection or the form of certain players rather than worrying about whether we would still have a club.
Despite my personal reservations about PW I think we’ve had an amazing season considering where we were last summer and can’t wait for next season, regardless of what division we’re in. Whatever happens I’ll be renewing my ST and away membership and doing it all over again in 23/24.

1. Driving up to Bradford for the first friendly; my hubby was umpiring but I couldn't miss being there to clap out our team, our club, we still had a club! ⚽️🐏
Massive support that day, we couldn't quite believe we were watching football again. I remember Didzy gave away the ball for about ten minutes, then didn't give it away again after that. NML looking fit and confident. Little Oduroh,  looked like he'd wandered over from the under 16s game, but showed great skill against men twice his size. Rosenior, so pleased to be given his chance and very appreciative of the fans' support. 
2. So many new grounds to visit, such contrasts between the welcome of some clubs and downright hostility of others. Thank you Exeter, Port Vale, Morecambe, Accrington. 
Least said about Wycombe, Lincoln, Bristol Rovers the better! 
3. Just the people I share awaydays with, we're a band of brothers and sisters who have travelled many miles, laughed and cried over the performances but always been there again next week. Some I know well, others are just familiar faces, but we smile and nod to each other as we know we have walked the walk together this season. Long may it continue.

It's great to have them on demand, Andy, I agree. However it's the excitement and occasion that I miss as much as anything. You had a favourite tv programme and you had to wait a whole week until the next episode. It was the excitement and anticipation that was all part of the experience. There was mum, dad, my sister and me all sitting in the snug living room round the fireplace, sleepy dogs on our knees, sharing our enjoyment of these programmes together. 40 years on, Mum now has borderline dementia, Dad died in 2008, my sister obviously has her own family and no longer lives at home. I can sit and watch these programmes on demand with my husband and thoroughly enjoy them but I guess what made them so special at the time and what I miss most are the memories of watching them with my mum and dad and sister when we were all together, snug and cosy round the fire in our pyjamas and a mug of hot milk, feeling safe, secure, happy and loved. X
