He's got to be given a coaching role at the club when he retires from playing.

We looked tired in the middle of the park to me. I think CH has put alot of effort in over the last couple of months and it's catching up on him. Shame Smith is injured as he'd share the load.
We looked a million miles away from the Oxford away performance.
-
I think the highest priority is a creative player for the other attacking midfielder role alongside Bird. Being able to attack better centrally will make a massive difference.

Happy Christmas everyone. All ready got a Derby County Football Club true classics track in my secret Santa 😍

It's a reasonable to think we should be doing better, it's reasonable to think we could be doing alot worse with another manager. It's better to think we'll be top after beating Oxford 🍻
-
Anyone know how many Oxford tickets are left. I'm using my away member 5+ category for the first time tomorrow 😬

I think away fans should pay less personally as generally they have to travel further so their costs are higher, and the more that come, the more revenue for us and better atmosphere.
I also think we are doing the right thing, I want us to be regarded as one of the best clubs in the Country and this will help.

Both left before admin. Delap was summer 2019 (2 years before admin), whilst Kaide Gordon was just after the Jan transfer window closed in 2021 (still several months before admin). To be fair, Scanlon, Sharpe and Kaba weren't lost during admin either - they left around the same time as Gordon.
I thought we lost players to Chelsea (maybe that was Williams) and Manchester United.
If we hadn't gone into Admin it is likely that Williams, Buchanan, Ebosele and Ebiowei would all be playing for us now, or at the very least we would have got a decent fee that would have been invested in the squad.

If we are desperate for investment why doesn't every Derby fan invest an extra £500 for nothing in return? We'll be the ones that benefit. It's the safest thing for the future of the club. Or maybe some kind of shareholder model - I think the Green Bay Packers do something similar.
Hold on a minute, I can't afford it, and even if I could, my wife would have serious problems with it. I expect most of us are in the same boat.
Mr Clowes invested a hell of alot more than that in a third tier club that has been pillaged. Absolutely no one else would. He's the reason I can still take my children to watch the Rams. I'll never forget that, he's got free reign as far as I'm concerned.
We should be concentrating on being sustainable so we're never in that position again. I would like us to only use players from the local area, similar to Athletic Bilbao, that would be something to be really proud of.

I don't know why people keep having a go at Collins. He always gives everything when he plays and isn't afraid to shoot.

We are missing a creative player especially at home. We have not got the budget to buy a quality creative player, never mind four or five that are good enough to play quick attacking passing game. I believe the manager would have got one in if he could.
We play league one football with mostly league one players, the team looks loads better with a proper right back. Defence looks organised.
The football from all teams is mostly dreadful in this division, and we are one of those teams. I certainly didn't think Pompey were up to much.
It is where we are at I'm afraid.
-
I hope we keep him, if he is on 20,000 pw it is the equivalent of buying a £500,000 player, with fees and wages. I'd even be tempted to offer him an extension if he goes to 10,000 pw. Doubt he'll take it though.
If someone bids £1-2m he's gone.

Be interesting to know what wages we are paying compared to everyone else. I expect we are quite high up in the list.
I doubt many teams spend much money on transfers in our division.

I think the place would not have as good an atmosphere without music. I'm quite happy with the current music but it could be turned a little.
Love Thunderstruck at start of second half.

It's a difficult one and impossible to make fair to everyone as we all have different circumstances. When I followed England you got two caps for an away game and one for a home game. It felt about right but I'm sure fans bought tickets for away games but never went, not sure how you stop that. Fans also buy tickets from touts for the big games. But generally I believe an away game should get more 'points' than a home game.
-
Can we have a no swearing and no standing area for away games ? The few I've taken my kids to have been awful. I was quite pleased for their Number 10 at Cheltenham.
Same as quite a few on here, I tell them not to repeat it or they will be in big trouble.

I believe we were badly treated but the fact of the matter is if Mr Morris had not put us administration we would still be in the Championship and not needing to adhere to a business plan.
The fact that we owed £25m in tax when the country needs it the most and Mr Morris still has many more millions of pounds is incomprehensible to me. He has tarnished the name of the club which, despite giving me some wonderful footballing memories, is unforgivable.

We need to get behind Collins. He is an old fashioned honest league 1 centre forward playing against Premier League defenders tonight.
He's going to score some important goals for us, and his work rate and effort will tire defenders and make chances for others.
I don't know what anyone expected us to get when we can't buy anyone.
-
I'm baffled by this. I would have thought it is very likely that we are losing money and that is why it was very difficult to get someone to buy us.
Why on earth anyone would want us to spend more than we can afford after nearly not existing because of that, is so far beyond my understanding.
Imagine if we were allowed to spend more and Mr Clowes does what Mr Morris did (not saying he will) No more Derby County forever. Why are we even discussing it.
Me and my two kids loved Cheltenham away, we're looking forward to Port Vale tonight. Let's never overspend again and be seen as the model on how to run a club our size.

We need him back. Best right back we've got, team have definitely missed him.
