Its going to be a very intersting time tbh macro political wise

will the pound continue to fall against the dollar?

will the US enter a recession?

    will we enter a recession?

war in Ukraine and it effects around the world.. more borrowing , more inflation

war in the middle east, more funding, more borrowing, more inflation

how will the brexit import charges that kick in end of the month effect our food prices, potentially more inflation.

will inflation ever come under control to the 2% target.

will interest rates come down (obviously tied with inflation)

how will this effect the stock markets, how will this effect bitcoin

Personally i think were still in for a tough ride for at least a couple of years minimum.ย
    ย

    see what happens

Inflation is the result of continuing money printing and ever increasing debt, I cannot ever see it being under control for a very long time.

In the US due to the decriminalisation of shop lifting, criminal gangs are raiding stores on a regular basis which is increasing prices for everyone as well.

Peter Schiff reckons by 2031 the tax revenues in the US will only cover the debt repayments, social security, Medicare, military, this is why he has already left for the tax haven of Puerto Rico because he knows income taxes will be substantially higher.

Even if the US came to its senses and elected a strong leader the opposition would be taking them to the courts all the time.ย

At some point there is going to be an almighty crash and all assets will drop in value by approx 40% or inflation will remain high for a long time just like the seventies.

If everything crashes and taxes are higher then Bitcoin will be used to avoid paying taxes.

Only other possibility is go back to some kind of gold standard.

As for the UK, if the US sneezes the rest of the world will catch a cold.

You donโ€™t have to buy just gold.

Newmont gold mining company is up approx 30% since Peter Schiff bought it a couple of months ago.

When the sell other assets from the Newcrest merger I would expect a handsome one off special dividend.

    Newmount up 10% todayย

Here u go โ€ฆ an example of โ€œcrypto vs bitcoin.

one of the more famous ones .. xrp vs bitcoin.

all time chart monthly chart โ€ฆ they all trend to nothing against bitcoinโ€ฆ cos theyre being inflated โ€ฆ. Like the fiat currencies we use day to day.

Remember what iv said โ€ฆ. A weak asset against a strong asset.

Exactly like the pound against the dollar .. and exactly like the dollar against bitcoinย

This is another example of why my love for the game becomes a little more tarnished.

Iโ€™m proud of the fact that I have become an old-fashioned bitter football fan and I have no idea of what is happening in the first division, nor do I have any idea on who is still in Europe. ย I donโ€™t even know what the format of the European competitions are nowadays, and I really donโ€™t care. ย Itโ€™s all predicated on greed for the biggest clubs and every rule appears to be geared towards maintaining an โ€œeliteโ€.

I looked at the England squad not so long ago, and it had a number of players who I had never heard of.

I love Derby County and not much more, to be honest.

I love the fact that in the lower divisions, there are probably 16 or so teams at the start of the season who think that, if things go well, this could be their year. ย However, that gap is becoming wider and wider each year due to the top echelons being governed by greed.

The fact that so many teams are going so close to the wire and getting points deductions is down to fear of slipping off the gravy train therefore eye watering amounts of money creates eye watering amounts of greed.

For me, a top level footballer should earn a maximum of what a CEO or a doctor would earn. ย Why should they be earning that sort of money a week? ย And why shouldnโ€™t they get another job after they have retired?

Anyway, the FA Cup used to be a flagship event that everyone used to watch. ย Everyone who is around my age will have seen Coventry Vs Tottenham and can probably list a good number of players from each side that day - they were very special occasions. ย Now, the competition is dying a death of a thousand cuts, where itโ€™s now just an irritant to the big teams, who will inevitably win it. ย I donโ€™t even know who is the current holder, but I think it is monopolised by of a tiny handful of teams.

    Anyway, apologies for my rant.

I can remember a long time ago watching England school boys play Scotland at Wembley just after the formation of the Premier league and it was a really enjoyable game.

After the match they interviewed the MOTM and asked him about his future ambitions in football.

Without any hesitation he said being a millionaire was his ambition, I was shocked that someone that young was more interested in the money rather than winning the FA cup or Premier league or having a long and distinguished career playing for England.

I used to love going to England games home and away and watching them on TV.

I hardly know when the next fixture is nowadays or who is in the squad.

The early rounds of the FA cup is about the only real enjoyment I get from football nowadays apart from watching the Rams and now the FA have ruined that now as well.

Celebrate the return of the Rams after very nearly being killed by Steve Gibson, Rick Parry, Kieran Maguire and that arse from Wycombe,

Go on the pitch/don't go on the pitch, just stay in the ground and enjoy the day then retire to a pub crawl round town.

Merry Widows, Neptune, Metro Bar, Tiger Bar, White Horse, Noahs Ark, Jorrocks, Dolphin, Bess of Hardwick etc.ย

If someone would be so kind as to shovel me on the last train to Utch it would be greatly appreciated.

    It's not hard to create a website.ย

Things are only easy with knowledge, you've thrown in another thing now, ledger, is that another term for a digital wallet?

Look back at your own personal experience, from day 1 of reading into Bitcoin to actually investing, how long did that take?

Great! They have added a feature that literally every other app has had for years...ย

Who is going to switch to using Twitter for this, when they've embedded the use of other apps for it?

What is his market differentiator here that will convince people to change apps?

Stuff like this really just underlines how much of a dead duck the app is. What will he add next? A calendar function, or maybe Snake

Musk has a proven track record of success which you cannot deny.

People ridiculed Tesla and Space X years ago saying it would not work.

When he takes SpaceX/Starlink public in five years time I expect X will be part of the deal.

on what planet is it a "news app" and which 161 countries?? The lack of a source makes it ripe for some serious community notes!

I assume that this one of his shadow accounts? This is a far more interesting tweet. I'm wondering if the one you posted was a honey trap, as the vast majority of replies are engagement farmers

    ย

The change from Twitter to X obviously will be a slow process but change is happening that will increase users.

Mistakes will be made same as Tesla and SpaceX but I would back Musk because he is a winner.

Interesting - but does anyone actually use Twitter because they think "oh I hope that I get some ads targeted at me that will make me want to buy something"? Most users will block the accounts of advertisers anyway. It's not what they want from the app

The fact that they now have some sort of smoke and mirrors AI which allows "algorithms to reach people beyond your targeted audience" sounds good for the advertisers, but bad for the users and will turn them away. Which in the long run is bad for the advertisers. All feels like a death spiral to me

    Advertisers want social media users

  13. The only football my wife really likes to watch on TV nowadays is the F.A. cup early rounds.

Watching a lower league club win or draw against a team from a higher league is all part of the romance of the FA Cup.ย

Hopefully a backlash against this ridiculous decision will make them change their minds but not holding my breath.

They will simply pander to every whim of the teams that keep threatening to leave to a European super league and it will only get worse was my statement when the Premier league was formed and nothing has changed my mind ever since.
