Figures. I think the article sums it up pretty well. One thing I'd be nigh on certain of is that Freddy would have like SBC's version better. Straight-washing his sexuality would have been an absolute no-no and rightly so. I've a hunch Frears would have rather shot a more true to life version too. The irony is that Queen are trying to protect an image that does not exist. In terms of public awareness of Freddy's personal life, that horse hasn't just bolted, it's run the length Newmarket High Street and far beyond.

Wow is that true?? He would've been brilliant.

Malek definitely a strange call to play such a vibrant and larger than life character. Was OK in Mr Robot and would think that's more his thing really. Didn't know Ali G was in the running! Would have been fascinating to see how that worked out - have a hunch Baron-Cohen would have been excellent. Also a dead-ringer for Freddie. WIll give it a swerve I reckon, in any case. It's a relief for the public media frenzy that the body recovered was the player not the pilot, as it means the player search isn't going to continue with the Argentine family clinging to false hopes. All terribly sad. Given it took two hours to find the plane on the seabed, it makes a bit of a mockery of the previous search efforts.
Cardiff had signed the player - he was no longer anything to do with Nantes. Unquestionably Cardiff will have to pay the full fee under the contracted payment schedule. Whether there is a way they can pursue money from third parties is up to them, but Nantes had sold him. If Cardiff hadn't sorted out their own insurance, then that's their problem.

I spoke with Arthur too about him coming to PP for a match day visit and Arthur was quite reticent about the idea; I think he has a great natural reserve and a strong ethical code that deters him from, as you say remembering things anew.

I'm about to be a massive dhead (moreso than usual), so stop reading if you're particularly devastated that some people you didn't know died in a plane crash.
I just can't get over how odd the reaction in Cardiff has been to this tragedy. I completely understand any commemorations held by Nantes. These were people who knew the guy and were friends with him, but few people at Cardiff ever even spoke to him. Just imagine if this happened at your place of work. You're told the new sales director, Emiliano, will not be taking up the position as he unfortunately died in a road traffic accident. You never met him, but saw him once or twice when he was in for interviews. A week later you decide to thank the accounts team for putting in some overtime on one of your projects, "We did it for Emiliano" they earnestly reply. Everyone claps. Ian from the fabrication team is openly weeping. Would you not find this a little bizarre?

Whilst the timing isn’t great, I’d image he’s completely unaware having being tied up in court with his tax fraud case all day, accepted a 23 month prison sentence which he won’t have to serve as Spanish law is a bit different, but paying a €18.8m fine.
Not like he will have notifications on either to see the mayhem he’s caused in his mentions, just a typical celebrity posting a pic of happy they are.

I think they're much better as a partnership. And it's great of the club that we can watch these academy games in such a professional way. Even if I was distracted by events in Westminster tonight do didn't see that much of the game!
