    Don't really condone it but sounds like CBT is feigning injury to try and force the move. I assume this will get done sooner rather than later.

    I wonder if this is one of the contract situations

    Potentially Smith and Blackett-Taylor then? Both were strongly linked towards the end of the summer window I think

    I went to the game, Conn- Clarke was comfortably the best player on the pitch and took his goal well after a slick passing move. Sounds like there's interest in him from the Championship including Swansea though. Dobra on the other hand was pants, was fortunate to get away with a mistake that led to a disallowed goal, got booked and was subbed after  contributing little for 70 mins. He might be good on occasions but is very inconsistent imo

    George Dobson from Charlton anyone? An ever present but last 6 months of contract and they have bought midfielders.

    Conn Clarke looks a real talent.
    Carlisle fans seem to think Moxon hasn't been as good in recent times but here's an interesting article on him and his apparent strengths/weaknesses:

    I think that's a bit unfair personally. Considering Hourihane is clearly a cultured midfielder, he has adapted surprisingly well to Warne's more energetic style of play - the problem is he simply doesn't have the legs to keep that effort up & Warne seems disinclined to sub him, probably because he has the type of game changing quality in his locker that we saw last night. It would appear that some are mistakenly confusing that tiredness with a lack of effort/passion. As others have also mentioned, he certainly looked very happy with his winner last night & leads the team well in terms of professionalism/high standards on & off the field.
    I've noticed a few folk calling out Max Bird as well over the past 24 hours despite the fact I thought he played well last night especially defensively. The real issue is that the blend isn't right in midfield with both of them in there. We need an energetic midfielder amongst both of them or in place of one of them. Contrary to the majority on here it seems, I strongly believe that should be Fornah.

    Put another way, what has he done to deserve being dropped?

    His form hasn't been that bad, been steady all season to my eyes. Not sure Vickers has done enough to keep the starting spot, so I'd have Wildsmith back as #1 for the time being, from Lincoln onwards. Good to have competition.

    Again playing in a 2 with someone who can't run versus a 3 man midfield again, who being on fresh legs when we don't, again. Broke up 5 or 6 attacks and barely a misplaced pass. Won more headers than he lost and only a booking worthy challenge stopped him surging through 3 or 4 players to create a 3 on 2.
    Apart from that, passenger.

    He said people within the academy and the club told him he was likely to have a decent career at national league level but maybe not higher;
    "There were academy representatives who said we think you'll have a good career, maybe in non-League or at National League level, if you work hard.
    "I've had a lot of ups and downs in my career. There will always be doubters.
    "So to prove them wrong and to get 100 appearances is massive for me, and obviously my family.

    Love this quote;
    "There's so much that Derby have done for me growing up," he says. "I was training here at six years old with the likes of Louie Sibley.
    "I signed officially when I was 11. It's like my home, and I have a lot to pay back to this club.
    "It'd mean everything to get promoted."

    I know you can’t judge it on stats alone, but looking to inform an opinion on him I had a look and last season he had 8 goals and 3 assists in 29 league appearances, so far this season it’s 8 goals and 7 assists in 25 league appearances.
    So in theory he’d bring additional goals and assists to our forward line, is allegedly pretty quick and I think we’d all agree more pace is something the side could do with, and is a good age at 26. If we can add him to the squad without paying above the odds (£400-500k doesn’t seem mental IF that fits our budget) I’m all for it.
    At various times this season people have commented how over reliant we are on Mendez-Laing, Blackett-Taylor would add another threat for defences to consider, those two speed merchants either side of the industrious goal machine that is James Collins would do for me 😁

    Sounds like they are just trying to get more money and get more bidders to be honest.
