I was with one of the smaller "green" companies that was one of the first to cease trading. They dumped me with EDF as a default and by the time that deal ended, there was no better deal to switch to elsewhere so I'm still with EDF for now

I'd been with them years ago and not had great experiences, but I have to say that they seem to have fixed my main problem - the old Direct Debit over-charge

I just got an end of year refund for £350 because I'd overpaid. I knew I was overpaying because I knew they had overstated my estimated usage. I then went on the website and clicked an option to request a lower DD amount. They actioned this immediately and automatically without having to debate with a call-centre bod.

So now I can effectively alter my DD this way every quarter if I feel I'm not quite on track. I wish this had been available years ago.

Only problem I’ve had with EDF is they keep dropping my DD payments every time I pay an extra payment. I have got an EV and every month I look how much I have spent charging my car and pay the extra payment rather than waiting 6 months and having a larger bill. Every time I do they lower my DD and I have to correct it. Apart from that EDF are ok apart from being 84% owned by the French government but it has made them stable and I have stayed on a lower tariff so far.

To be fair, there were several pitch invasion incidents a few months ago that went beyond just celebrating goals.

It wasn’t just at Derby, either. There were a load of articles on how it was happening across English football. Seems to have calmed down now.

I think the clown at florest last season and the d******* at Tottenham made a lot think twice.

Ordered my Plymouth and Oxford tickets this morning which was more stressful than it should be. The website even said it was closed for maintenance within a few minutes of tickets going on sale.

Lots of seats greyed out once again ( around 400 for each fixture) before commencement of sale, I’d like to know who these are being reserved for.

So from the  Plymouth allocation of 1,642 there are 1,172 left.

Oxford allocation 1,497 there are 1,072 left.

Barnsley tickets arrived in the mail today six days after ordering them.

Oh good about the Barnsley tickets I was starting to wonder if the postie was on strike again.

Good point - not for this season as I mostly got tickets through mates/POTG last year. Will likely get one for next season, though.

Yeah the problem with getting them through mates is you’re not getting any games built up. So next year you’d probably be just away member 5 or less but been to 7 + games and POTG is the same. I made that mistake the Mac 1 season and struggled to get tickets for some games. I was lucky to get my away membership this season I didn’t even know they were cut off in August but I usually get one because it always comes in handy for these games.

I get this argument, but as someone who doesn’t live in Derby and doesn’t generally get to go to many home games, the current system has allowed me to get to 7 away games so far this season. If there were a ST priority window I doubt I’d have been able to go to any.

    Are you an away member?

  6. Just looking at some stories on here and the fact my lad got a ticket no problem I think people trying to buy a bunch of tickets were less successful than individuals getting one or two. It may be an idea next time if someone want 6 tickets get 3 logged on and try for 2 each. I know it still doesn’t guarantee you all a ticket but your chances my increase. Not sure what you’d do if you only get 2 out of 6 or 4. May be draw lots.
