  1. It’s too easy to get down about other results but we can’t expect everyone else to lose every week.

The fact is the average number of points for safety is 47 so this is what we should be aiming for whilst trying to ignore what is going on around us.

That would mean 8 wins and a couple of draws from our remaining 14 games. It’s a big ask given our terrible away form and puts huge pressure on our home games but we’re still in it!

I'd be more concerned about going down to league 2 to be honest.

If anyone sees fit to clear our debt with HMRC, that is one thing. Taking emotion out of it, HMRC represent us all so they owe us absolutely nothing. Fair enough.

If we somehow get past that stage, the same new lucky owner then has to agree a CVA or it’s another 15 points deduction in league 1.

    It’s real and it’s grim.

Great goal but FFS last minute again ?

We have to try and win every game so we will leave ourselves open.

So sad to see nothing teams like QPR rubbing our noses in it.

This season is nothing more than a slow, painful demise.

duck Roos the useless twit, always Gary's around with the ball like he is Prime Neuer and look what happens.

Yes it was poor from Roos but why do we continue to set him up to fail like that?

Can someone with better tactical insight than me explain what we hope to achieve with those bizarre goal kick routines? We have been doing it all season but nothing positive ever comes from them. I genuinely don’t get it!

  5. With the perilous state we find ourselves in I’ve decided I’d like to get involved in a trust. I know it will probably have no direct influence on our future but I have a bit of time to give and want to feel I am doing something, anything to help navigate us through this mess.

I’m a little confused as to why there are two different organisations which, on face value, compete with each other to release the same information before the other.

Websites for both are a little bit thin on information to say the least. Rams Trust give some information on the “who” and “why” although they seem to be playing catch up on one of their core statements. I quote:

“One of the Trust’s core principles is to be in a state of constant readiness should the club ever again fall foul of unscrupulous owners and require supporter involvement to protect the interests of the club as a community asset.”

How many questions were asked during Mel’s tenure or were the Trust taken along for the ride like everyone else?

BAWT have emerged since administration (correct me if I’m wrong) but I can’t find much detail on what their aims or values are.

Is there any value in these trusts or does the club simply pay lip service when required?

As previously mentioned I want to get involved and do my bit but I don’t know which way to go?

Is it worth me and others getting behind one of these organisations or are we all wasting our time?

As far as January goes, no fees can be paid - so it's freebies only. The Business plan only covers this season; there are no restrictions after June 30th (the official end of player contracts).

However... this might not be the end of it. This Business Plan is just part of the current agreed sanctions but to exit an Administration the EFL normally require a rigid business plan in place to allow the new owners to take the 'Golden Share', so who knows what that might entail.

    Thanks for that.

So not quite the clean slate/opportunity to move on that some people (me included) assumed.

How much longer can this farce drag on?

My initial reaction was “cheers Mel” and I have no doubt he is going to continue to face a barrage of abuse as this season meanders towards its depressing and inevitable conclusion.

I think Mel got blinded by his desire as a fan to be the one to get us over the line. He was like a hopeless gambler chasing his losses, he just couldn’t see the damage he was doing to everyone around him.

So minus 21 points and league 1 is his legacy. That won’t change, but I genuinely believe it became an obsession that blurred any rational decision making.

What’s done is done, a load if vitriol towards the previous owner isn’t going to change anything. At least prospective new owners now know exactly what they are buying in to.

Fans have been asking for a complete re-set for years now and here we are.

As long as there is a club to support we will turn up in our numbers in league 1.

    Time to look forward.

  8. It’s bizarre what a one sport city Derby is.

Whether or not you agree with the ranking system, we have one of our own in line for a mandatory against the pound for pound best boxer in the world if he comes through tonight.

His top billing tonight has pretty much been talked down by BT in favour of some unknown Stokie on the undercard with huge travelling support.

Zach Parker wears our colours everywhere he goes so why is there not more support for him?

    Who's called him out?

I’m referring to negative comments in general about all players across all threads.

I think we could all name the usual targets but I think we all need to rise above it under these bizarre circumstances.

Even though the club is on the brink the connection between fans, players and management has never been stronger and long may it continue!
