Rooney basically said even with the relaxed EFL embargo, it wouldn’t be possible to bring any players in as certain restrictions still remain. Though he wouldn’t discuss what exactly. Again stressed that he needs help from both inside and, if possible, outside the club.
This was from Rooneys press conference after after the game, suggest none of the players want a 1 year contract on 11k a week…
could mean that in 2 weeks we go into the opening game with a very poor side
We’d have a very poor side even WITH all the trialists signed. What a mess.

The play off defeat to QPR was a defining moment for our club. The way we totally controlled the game, the fact they were down to 10 men and the last minute winner made it even worse. I have never felt as low as a Derby fan and it still haunts me to this day.
Defining moment because if we’d have won that game I don’t think it would be unrealistic to expect us to be an established Premier League club with lofty ambitions. Capacity crowds at Pride Park with stadium expansion already complete by now. Who knows, maybe even spine tingling European fixtures under the lights.
What has followed is a long, drawn out, well documented circus and we find ourselves under an embargo with little hope of improvement any time soon.
I accept this is where we are now and the pre season excitement is still for some reason building but it could have been oh so different.
It just wasn’t meant to be.

Can’t imagine we would bother having all these players at a training camp if something wasn’t close.
Anywhere between imminent and 48 hours would be my best guess.

What is it about our culture? Why do we do this?

Fans have been calling for a total clear out for years and now we have one.
The group of players we have had for the past 3-4 years have never clicked and produced a string of poor, stuttering performances. It has been so frustrating to watch.
We can only hope the new group of players we have by the first game of the season perform as a unit and give us something (anything) to cheer about.
Best of luck Waggy, you were always hampered by the pricetag but your final performance in a Rams shirt has probably repaid it.

Another wild stab then... Is it because they're Scottish?
Not really. Just nice to see a proper knock out game after the tedium of all the group matches. Even more so when they're dead rubbers.
Each to their own I guess.

Ok, a wild stab from me... is it because we're nearly all of us English?
OK, principle. Gotcha.
If there was anything riding on it, but seeing as there isn't...?

Not sure why anyone's watching the inevitable England snoozefest.
Scotland v Croatia has something on it, has a fantastic atmosphere and everything riding on the 2nd half. Both teams have to win!
Change the channel!

Scotland haven't scored a goal in 215 minutes in the tournament so far and need at least 2 in the final 60 but Ally McCoist says "this isn't a disaster yet" and "there is plenty of time left in this game for Scotland".
TV gold.

Half watching the game but not seen such a poor Germany competition side than this one.
Not sure how the draw shapes up but they'll probably still find a way to beat us on penalties.

Nothing to talk about or comment on.
Apathy and indifference amongst many fans
No season ticket news
No transfer speculation
No retained list
No recent information on anything really.
I'm not sure if I've known a period like this in my long history of supporting the Rams. I think it is worrying as long term supported will start to feel they can simply get along fine without the hassle and expense of supporting a team, I feel a bit cut adrift TBH and starting to feel totally apathetic and somewhat taken for granted or ignored.
I was thinking the same thing yesterday, I think there was up to 10 hours of inactivity on the main DCFC topic board yesterday.
I get the season ticket thing to a degree which won't be helped by whatever Boris has got to say later, but everything else is very strange.
Pre season normally starts around 1st July which is just over 2 weeks away. We've had some pretty dodgy pre-seasons recently that have no doubt had a negative affect on the team but this one looks like being the most worrying of the lot.

Federer or Nadal I don't mind but I would love to see a new generation of players start to win grand slams. One things for sure will not watch today's final can see it been one sided and boring hope I'm wrong.
I get where you're coming from but it's up to the others to match up to the dedication, professionalism, stamina and mental strength of Djokovic who right now is on a different planet.
He wore out Nadal over 4 and a half hours and then came back from 2 sets down 2 days later against the world number 3. Whether you like it or not the man is an absolute machine and will go down in history as one of the best sportsmen/women of all time.

We'll tonight's game is 0-0 so I assume it's rubbish.
I love DCFC but international football just doesn't do it for me.
Can't take my eyes off the Djokovic/Nadal semi final, unbelievable athletes providing unbelievable entertainment.

East Midlands Today reporting tonight Derby likely to find out next week our punishment.
How they know is unknown
48 hours after the retained list I expect.
A few more pictures of the new pitch and throwbacks to the anniversary of the signings of players we all moaned about at the time but wished they were still here (Johnny Russell anyone?) before anything meaningful I should think.

What an utter nightmare it's turned out to be.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I've tried to keep up but I don't understand most of it!!
A couple of questions if anyone can enlighten me.
Which managerial/spending era are we in hot water over with our amortisation policy?
As we still haven't published our most recent accounts will we get penalised again as when they are surely the same amortisation policy has been used?

Judge him by his work not his words
Will have help from someone who has worked at Real Madrid and is a big name in football
Firstly we need to stay in the league but manager and players have his full support
Message to all Derby fans, appreciate all words from fans and good times will return
Wants to be confirmed as soon as possible
That was a very strange and slightly uncomfortable interview. As intriguing as it is worrying.

When you put it like that, if we don’t pay the taxman there’s little point whining about everything else.
On a positive note the team that ended the game on Wednesday looked fit, hungry and seemed to have a real togetherness.
