We know this is likely to happen, but now we are in the championship id hoped we might offer him a really decent salary to stay

For Cashin to go, it would take a significant offer for it to happen. He signed a new contract in feb and we accepted £4m last year. If he has a good season in the champ his value would raise in further. Makes no sense to sell this summer IMO. By selling, we would be making our team significantly weaker with him and Bird leaving. For the championship, that's suicidal

And just for comparison, last season's promoted teams spent 1.3m, 2.1m and 4.5m respectively.

Plymouth and Rotherham are small clubs who will always have a small budget unless they sell (Plymouth -Whittaker)

we’re more in the Ipswich category. Ticket sales will still give us an advantage over those clubs

Existing season ticket holders still have just over a week to claim their seats so it’s not known whether they will or not, but around 600 new seats have been sold.

nice. Hopefully get a good indication next friday then 🐏

Cambridge have only conceded 10 set piece goals this season, 5th best in the division (we're 2nd best), whereas Orient had conceded 15 before Saturday (around 8th worst - now 3rd worst thanks to us). Hopefully we can have the same effect on Cambridge's stats, but it looks like it'll be tougher.

They've also conceded 48 goals from open play. We have enough ability in the team to score from open play not just set pieces. We jsut need to get an early goal to settle the nerves. Confidence will come from that.

2nd-5th qualify for the Playoffs. You can see why Aldershot would be happy withthe long return journey, if it means Gateshead are less likely to pick up points.

Actually 2nd-7th are in the play offs. 2nd and 3rd are automatically in the semi final. Others play a weird 1 off quarter final. Gateshead should comfortably finish in the play offs.

He was great last night with the ball first half, but needs to do a lot more without it in this team, where at the very least everyone puts a shift in. Defensively very timid and half hearted at best. Even Smith was giving him a right talking to when he just stood off from getting involved at one point.

That takes time and fitness. Wingers arent used to having to do defensive work. He's been unfit for most of the time with us and then having to learn another way to play with different team mates. He will get fitter and you'll see more of his defensive side. For now, Im more than happy to see scaring the oppositions defenders

Should have been a yellow, but ref gave him some leeway due to the conditions. He gave a bit of leeway to both sides for a number fouls which would have been yellows on another day.

It made for a great game to be honest. Neutrals would have enjoyed it. There was too much riding on it for me to enjoy it though

I've found myself looking at the fixtures going into the last game, as Peterborough will still likely have a chance.

Bolton have the ability to win-out, for sure, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them get 10pts from their next four games. It would put them on 88pts. The big swing will be their goal difference as they have some favourable home games.

    Bolton | played 45, 88pts | +41 goal difference.

Peterborough, too, who have some favourable games bar Oxford away. Vale, Fleetwood, Cheltenham & Bristol Rovers are teams they like to beat up on and score goals. I'd say they have opportunity to be within a point of Bolton going into the final day.

    Peterborough | played 45, 87pts | +39 goal difference

We have two away games in our next three, albeit against teams we should do well against. I can see 6-7 points in our next three games, crucially (though), I don't see our goal difference incrementing at the same rate as Bolton and think we will be +39 goal difference.

    Derby | played 45, 88pts | +39 goal difference

I think there is a good chance that Bolton go into the final day in second and end the day finishing 4th. There is no doubt in my mind that it is going to the final day, though. Anything can happen along the way. We could do with Bolton throwing a game, like we did against Northampton, but difficult to see where that would happen. I think they're more likely to have 12pts from their next four than 6 or 7, unfortunately.

you think Bolton are picking up points against pompey and pboro? I cant see that. Even bristol rovers away is a hard game away from home. They have the worst away from in the league over the last 6 games. Im more concerned about Pboro

It wasn't even a yellow, though. So was very lucky.

All i can think of was that the ref was allowing due to the weather conditions but thats still very lenient. JW has some real issues with controlling his 18 yard box. Always seems to be down the left side too.
