Having been relegated twice from the Championship should at least have give Warne a good idea of what works and what doesn't in that league. Yeah I wondered about Collins. But the hard work and honesty makes him an effective Div 3 player. But that's as far as it goes, he's very very ordinary technically you must agree. And he's 33. We need to move on. He will be on good wages, money that can be used for a younger player. Collins is known quantity and going downhill. Lets take a punt on some players who can improve

We need to be releasing all of these mid 30's players who are out of contract and replacing them with better, younger ones. In terms of the people on short term deals, Waggy is finished --with us anyway Gayle was a short term gamble to try and give us something for the run in. he needs to be seen as such and let go. I know he has some quality but he's past it. We need younger players. John Jules was a gamble that didn't pay off. Only fools make the same mistake twice, let him go.  Just new contracts for Thompson, Sibley and Wildsmith. Try and move some of the poor signings on as well who are still under contract, Elder, Bradley, Fornah, Washington. None of them are good enough to be regular starters in the Championship

I didn’t realise he was even slightly unpopular - I’ve always liked him.
I only have to think back to Roos and all the flapping he used to do…used to give me nightmares.
We could do a lot lot worse. 

Wildsmith is one to keep, in my opinion. Anything else would seem counter-intuitive.
He’s been part of a strong defence and kept twenty clean sheets. He’s been first choice for us for the past two years. He deserves a shot at being a Championship regular. Crucially too he won’t demand the same wages as keepers like Rodak and Ryan with higher level experience.

If that is so surely that’s reasonable. I’m afraid we cannot expect to carry on recruiting on free transfers for the championship. What we can’t be doing is paying 6million for Bradley Johnson and 5 million for Waghorn and other such rubbish. £600k would be great value
