Ffs move on. We need an up and coming young player with PACE
-
A one year deal. Fair enough

Scored against us for Morecambe last season.
Can we beat off fellow L1 competition though?
No chance it seems. Thats if we are even interested. Doesn't fit the 31 years old and previous Rotherham blueprint
-
I don’t want this old tw**. Ffs move on. We have enough old strikers as it is

We’re in league 1, this is the mend and make do league, we need to learn how to buy cheap sell high.
The reality is players we would’ve picked up relatively easily in the championship are now off the menu. We’ll have first pick of those at our level and decent loan opportunities.
yes it would’ve been incredible to start with a full set of good strikers but it’s not that realistic, if we get a youngster in and any one of smith / Rhodes / waggy we would’ve done very well.
You can't buy cheap and sell high if you only deal in 31 year old free transfers

I’d imagine their manager saying they need more in just means they need more in before anyone would leave.
He didn’t get a game last night which is surprising considering they were losing in the last 10 mins and he was their top scorer.
I’d imagine Gregory, Windass, Fletcher and even Paterson (who played RB last night) would be ahead of Smith judging by last night.
A striker who is behind Gregory. Mouthwatering

Elder is fit so he will play. So will Washington. I don’t think it’s 3-4-2-1 either. For me it will be
wilsdsmith
Nelson Bradley Cashin
Ward bird smith Hourihane elder
washington collins
but central midfield looks like this
Smith
Bird Hourihane
I don’t think bird is playing as 10, I think he’s playing in midfield like that
-
Lol you can’t get out of it like that
-
He doesn’t look daft to me. But agreed. He is the new Cox

If the fee is right for anyone they're off. Everyone is for sale at the right price.
Thanks for that. None of knew that so we are very grateful for your insight

I didn’t care much about Knight, but I will be very, very disappointed and upset if we sell Bird for some pocket money(in todays market) fee to Hull
-
So we have no chance of signing this nothing player while at the same time there is a real chance we sell Max Bird to a much smaller club that has only ever been in one division higher than us for one or two seasons in the last 120 odd years

Would be very happy with him.
He’s not 31 and on a free transfer so count him out

Aspirations of the club, or the fans on this forum? Again: do we have any credible evidence that the club wants to sign Sharp, or any other player in his thirties beyond possibly Waggy?
There is often no smoke without fire with these things but I take your point. So either way it would be nice to have a thread or threads linking us with some more interesting and imaginative options. We have enough such players already for the front areas, Collins, Washington and NML. All over 30. I want to see a younger player
-
I so wish we had a thread about a footballer who isn’t a mid thirties(or in this case late thirties) has been. Surely we can have higher aspirations than this

Only 1,986 tickets left now I’d imagine we will sell out, or be very very close to
Bet there will be a lot of season ticket holders away on holiday though. Me and my son for a start. So the crowd will be lower even though tickets are sold
-
Oh well at least we have a different player to talk about now. We have switched from Jordan Rhodes to Martyn Waghorn. Our cup runneth over

We will probably make a signing at 10.00pm tonight

'Head of' implies that there is a team under you. Thats what it means where I work. So do we have other staff working for these guys?
-
Love Jamie Ward. I'd like to see him back involved with Derby in some way
-
Kris Sleeuwenhoek and Jason Kavanagh. This pair were pinched from Wolves and were supposed to be future superstars. I don't remember Kris playing at all for our first team and Jason had a minor career with us as a not tall enough but reasonable central defender
-
So how does this fit with Bradley Johnson's role?

Then the 30k crowds will dwindle. You can’t have a premiership size club operating like Burton Albion for long. People will get fed up with it
