Just watched all 11 seasons of Walking dead. Thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a bit of a lull in quality and i imagine it lost a few people during that time as i couldnt imagine waiting a week to watch nothing happen 🤣 But the beauty of streaming is i can watch everything back to back. Currently just aying a break from it and watching fool me once on netflix but then ill be watching the spin off series + Fear of the walking dead

Agree with all this as I speak from experience. As long as the pms report to management that the project is on time then it will go live. Techies like me can shout all they like that it's not ready but the priority is always it goes in on time. Also a lot of the pms are not technical and it's a huge job to explain something without them glazing over. The problem can also be enhanced by a lot of the technical teams making descisions without considering the impact on others further along the project chain. So glad I am no longer in an office.

This doesn't sit right with me - and I feel weird sticking up for Fujitsu
I do not and have never worked for them, but I have worked on large IT projects for government departments whilst at other large IT Service Providers
If this was allowed to go live with these massive errors and bugs in it, then that's not Fujitsu's fault. Did Fujitsu do the user acceptance testing? Of course not - the clue is in the word "user". The Post Office would have been responsible for user testing and the sign-off to live
The failure here is simply - "IT Outsourcing" - it doesn't work because the power dynamics are all skewed on both sides. The Post Office project managers responsible for delivering the system are being measured against and rewarded for delivering the system on time. As are Fujitsu. No one has any incentive to say "this doesn't work - we need to delay by 6 months". That way lies severe bollockings, reputational damage, missed bonuses etc etc
This happens ALL the time, on pretty much every project I've ever worked on. Just that this time there were real and severe consequences on people's lives

After all these years, now there is a TV show about it - which shows us dumb plebs what actually went on
Perhaps someone should make a dramatisation about Grenfell, and see how quick they hold people to account for that one too

Read about this scandal many years ago in Private Eye. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the people involved. Senior managers of the software company, senior managers of the post office and senior members of the government were all happy to destroy working peoples lives rather than admit summatt was wrong.
"Hello dear, how's your day been?".
"Oh, you know, i managed to feck someones life up to protect my bonus". 
"Marvellous dear, well done".
 
What sort of people can do this knowing the devastation they are causing?

1 Everyone in my village wears jumpers that are two sizes too  small......in fact, we're a very tight knit community 
 
2 I filled Grandad's inhaler with Nitrous Oxide before he went to the Nat West this morning ........He was laughing all the way to the bank. 
 
3 I got scammed by a Nigerian prince yesterday............his version of 'Purple Rain' was dreadful. 
 
4 I don't get out very often these days......probably cos my cricket bat is 3 foot wide. 
 
5 I was really surprised by the quality of the intricate tattoo I got in Madrid......No one expects the Spanish ink precision. 
 
6 My wife has joined a self-help group for people who talk way too much........ It’s called ‘On & On Anon’. 
 
7 I bought a car from the dwarf at my local athletics club ........ Great little runner. 
 
8 Welcome to 'Owning up to Flatulence Club',But I warn you, it's not for the 'ain't farted'.

19 I never knew my father as a child.......which is hardly surprising as he was in his late twenties when I was born.

Review of Killer suprised me. I thought it excellent with Fassbender very good. But that's what we are here for, reviews from each end of the scale. That last bit might be the plot of Killer 2!

Not seen the others but Last of Us and Severance were great. Another season of both has been approved.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny on Disney+ Did not expect much from this as the previous one was not that good (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). Suprised me 8/10 and worth a look.
