I'm just not artistic or creative but I am fascinated by the creative process and people who can create something unique and amazing out of nothing. For that reason I love Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky. It's great slow TV.
The missus and I also like picking our favourites then chastising the 'experts' when they pick a different winner. Fools.

I think first you'd have to wrap your head around the idea that the national team is completely meaningless to some people, and the hysteria around them potentially winning a major tournament - which shouldn't really have been that difficult to achieve with the quality of players available over the years with just a little luck, or clever management - is both silly and off-putting to them, even if they do like football and support their local club.
Also that not everybody is, has been, or wants to be part of a 'group of lads/mates' and all the things that can involve.

Derby all the way. In fact, I`d rather Derby win on Saturday than England win the World Cup altogether

Failure, or inability? The best attacking RB who was a free agent anyone could come up with was Cyrus bloody Christie, which should send shivers down anyone's spine.
Knight & NML were doing just fine together at the start of the season anyway, had a decent understanding.

Another game where I'm surprised/not surprised at just how poor the opposition really are. Haven't seen any supposedly 'top' team this season aside from Plymouth who've actually impressed me.

Not read the matchday thread yet but I was very disappointed with Sheffield Wednesday today. Came to spoil the game rather than play football. Ref didn't help.
I suppose they've learned that's what it takes to get out of the division, but it's so boring.

Maybe you justify your statement about my post saying business is as usual. The cause of Derby going into administration was a combination of excessive fees paid for players, along with excessive wages on those players with the final loss of income of £20M-£30M due to covid. Those transfer fees are no longer a consideration, except the balance of Bielik's, those excessive wages are no longer a consideration apart from the 5 players who have stayed at the club. Hopefully, there will not be another covid closure of the grounds.
Derby are now working to a very conservative budget, but with the largest income in league 1. These are all reasonable assumptions, based on evidence to hand. It's definitely not business as usual, a normal business coming out of administration wouldn't have a governing body restricting their business practices.

I've heard they all take it in turns driving. After every pub along the way they hold a vote between them to see who seems the least pissed, and that person drives the next leg of the journey. The only rule is that one person isn't allowed to drive twice in a row.
