LittleEatonRam got a reaction from Andicis in Is Warne living on borrowed time?
Exactly. And what would they have us do anyway? Sack the manager? With what money? This is another thing people don't seem to have fully grasped - we don't have the funds we used to. I think many people deep down assume that being in administration is like a prison sentence or a time out for a naughty child, i.e. once your punishment is up you're back to normal. We still owe millions to various bodies, so we're still broke.

LittleEatonRam got a reaction from SKRam in Is Warne living on borrowed time?
Plus Barnsley, Charlton, Preston, Millwall, Southampton and Hull were all beaten by lower league opposition tonight (the latter by Donny despite being managed by the idolised Liam Rosenior).
Wonder if their fans are all having nervous breakdowns as well?

I just don't understand this mentality. We already have fans calling for the manager to go 2 games into a season, and no doubt if it happened many of those fans would be giving it the whole 'the Derby County circus is back in town.'
As I've said before, people talk about how difficult it is being lower down the league system and how it's not going to be easy to get back to where we were but I'm increasingly inclined to say they don't actually believe that deep down. It's just something they think and say at surface level - in reality they expect us to waltz the league.

This is an absolutely brilliant post. Everyone is willing to be patient and trust the process until it's actually tested.

LittleEatonRam reacted to RadioactiveWaste in Jason Knight - joined Bristol City
Good luck to him, can't get upset about it, being in the championship will help his Ireland career and I don't feel like we've given him away for peanuts, we've got about as good as we're going to get selling a player out of league 1.
Let's just not squander what we got for him.
Ultimately, he's a good example of a typical British style box to box midfield with great energy and a reasonable amount of skill but hardly unique or irreplaceable.

Best of luck to him, but this is one I'm not fussed about. Never really got what the big deal with him was personally. Runs around a lot but not much end product.
Nice lad though and has a great attitude. Wish him well but probably a good move for all parties.

LittleEatonRam reacted to RamLad1884 in Conor Washington - signed on a two-year-deal
Not sure why everyone thinks Washington has been signed to solve our goal problems.
He’s said in his interview his role is to get behind and stretch defenses, he even admits goal scoring is something he is working on.
if he can see it, I’m sure Warne is going to be well aware is not going to be our 20 goal striker. Given we’ve spent nothing on fees so far, and will likely get a decent amount in for Knight, I’m pretty certain PW has a goal scoring striker in mind who will likely cost a decent fee.

LittleEatonRam got a reaction from ShakeyRed in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
They won't get the kind of luck they've had this season in the next. Spent £150m to only just stay up, so they'll either have to spend more or sack Cooper next time around. Given that they have spent next year's money this year, they could end up in trouble.

It's all quite exciting this transfer window lark, isn't it? Especially on frees as it feels like you're getting a bargain and there's little risk.

LittleEatonRam reacted to Steve How Hard? in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
The guy oozed class both on and off the pitch. Absolute joy to watch and worth the entrance fee alone. Hope he gets the fairytale ending to his career. He deserves it.
Having said that, I'm still incredibly disappointed to lose him. We have our work cut out replacing such quality. So long Didzy it was a pleasure to watch you.

LittleEatonRam reacted to Carl Sagan in Worse Derby Managers
Felt Cocu was completely undermined by the bizarre arrival of Rooney, who he then had to play, so every game was effectively with 10 men. That's a pretty tough gig. It's impossible for the football not to have been dull with Rooney in the team, slowing everything down to walking pace.
