I’ve watched the interview about 3 or 4 times now, it’s absolute brilliant to have such an honourable man in charge. Our saviour looks to have very little ego and is such a massive breath of fresh air compared to the previous car crash.
He’s a proper fan, not a fake. Knows his football. I imagine Morris to have read the latest football sports science info then retell it to the press with that annoying smirk. He was like Brent and Dostoyevsky!
He’ll listen to others, he won’t run it like a one man toy shop. He has a huge amount of respect for the club. He won’t let us down. We are so, so lucky to have David Clowes as our owner. Thank you!

I’ve heard Stockton mentioned a few times. God knows why, his record is bang average apart from last season and he’s in his late 20s. I’d rather have Collins. Plus, he’d require a fee which we can’t pay.

You are consistently the best poster on the forum by some distance. Excellent summary.
27 shots, dominant in possession. It’ll come. Rosenior can’t take  too much flak after today. All we  need is a bit of luck, some better clinical finishing and we’ll be alright. And by alright I mean in the promotion hunt. We’re playing lovely, cohesive football. Which in itself is quite something considering the pre season. Lots of reasons to be optimistic for the future.

Probably the most infuriating few pages of this forum I've read in a while.
Despite what some of the 'just saying it how it is' Talksport types on here think, no-one at all is saying a performance or tactics are beyond criticism. But at least have the decency to apply some context to criticism  i.e. a bunch of players slung together in no time at all, a rookie manager, a late pre-season & the fact we have dominated the 3 away games these same individuals are outraged we haven't won. Just hysterical, over-entitled garbage that I didnt miss at all last season
If we'd had social media back in the day, some on here would have happily got rid of Arthur Cox in 84/85 (we finished 7th in Division 3 with a bunch of expensive signings, imagine that) & wouldn't have given Clough another season after 67/68.
Just as well David Clowes seems a sensible, measured type & won't be doing kneejerk Mel Morris reactionary cack. He'll look at the table & notice we're just outside the playoff spots...perhaps the bedwetters might like to do the same.

No team has an average of 20 shots and an average of 0 goals over a season. Not in the history of football. I'd challenge any team to find one.
It is impossible for this to continue. One of two things will happen; 1.) the chances will dry up completely or 2.) we start putting them away.
At present, short of putting on his boots and finding the net himself, I'm not sure what Liam Rosenior can do other than convince his players the goals will come. Some saying it's a psychological issue but personally I'm skeptical that Collins is missing the goal due to some unresolved childhood trauma.
If the first scenario does happen, it's a coaching issue and then it would be time to look elsewhere.
There's lots of reasons to be optimistic that number 2 will happen. Those saying "it's the same story as last season" is only true in the fact we're not scoring goals. Last season, we only really scored and looked competitive against footballing sides with a high-press, where we'd create very high quality chances and would see clinical finishing. This season, we're also able to create chances against sides with a low block, but we can't hit a barn door with a banjo.
Let's not forget, we're out of administration, but we're still a club laden with debt. Keeping CKR or signing another striker is one obvious solution to what's happening. You cannot blame Rosenior for that.

Absolutely ridiculous to suggest putting Roberts at RB and Forsyth LB. Roberts is being converted to a LB. It would be very harsh to place him in his wrong side and would massively unbalance our team.
Although far from ideal, Knight has been one of our best players so far playing RB. The midfield balance isn’t quite right yet, and in an ideal world I’d have Knight in there. But for now, I’d keep it as it is. Hopefully utilising Sibley’s strengths to turn our possession dominance into attacking dominance.

I very much doubt Rosenior has actually told Sibley he can leave if a suitable offer comes in. That would be poor man management  and very  demotivating for Sibley. I’m taking that snippet with a pinch of salt. Cheers for all the other info though. Stretton has gone so some substance to it.

OoooMarkWright reacted to Carl Sagan in New signings, who will be first...and next?
Cocu loved Sibley. My feeling is that, for all the plusses of Rooney's leadership of the club through dark times, Rooney bullied Sibley. He constantly denigrated young Louie, hardly played him and when Rooney did put him in the team it was out of position. He was never allowed a bad 45 minutes. Having good games didn't reward him with a spot in the team. It all seemed designed to knock Sibbo's confidence.
I would be horrified if Sibley goes. If he stays and we use him as we should, it gives us the best chance of promotion. But given Rosenior was part of the management setup with Rooney last season, this will now have become a very difficult relationship. If I was managing Sibley I would take the pressure off, pick him as the first name on the teamsheet in central midfield, encourage him to carry the ball forward at pace and tell him he will start for at least a dozen games in a row to give him chance to regain his confidence and make his mark.

Wilson, Mount and Tomori all had been out in successful loans at the same level it higher (Mount).
Now we’re in League 1, we’re part of the first stage of the loan journey. Hopefully we can pick up the best young talent from Prem academies. Don’t expect many to have had previous loans though. That’s the stage we’re at now.

Its pretty obvious that any loan signing we make will be either to play or to cover first team positions.
