Been some terrible posts over the past day or two but think you’ve won for me.

Up until the goal we were really good, we’ve shat the bed since. 

Collins probably showing why we need better. His passing/hold up play has been wide of the mark and put us on the back foot. As has some really wayward passing/touches. 

Bird has had some touches of brilliance but floating through the game again. No point having him on days like today against better sides, has to get more involved. Same old so far. 

Plenty of positives amongst the sloppy bits too so hopefully we can turn it around. 

Long balls over our vacant wing backs working a treat so far for Wigan. Probably need to be tighten that up. 

Refs terrible as ever in this division. 

Can’t be any worse than what’s served in the SW Upper currently.

Just a great last session to end an unbelievable series. Such a fitting way to finish, looking gone at 135-0 and then again at 264-3, to claw it back with 7 wickets for 70 runs just topped it off. 

Have just seen the Sky Sports News montage of the series and it's crazy how many controversies have been packed into the 5 games. So many talking points. It's been a tad better than Sibley and Burns blocking the life out of us all that's for sure. From the Crawley 4 first ball of the series to Mark Wood's arrival, sending Khawaja's off stump flying at 95 mph, to end it with Broad doing that - it really is fairly tale stuff. 

It just leaves you wanting more doesn't it? No more test cricket until India next year now and the shitty Hundred up next. Thankfully we have The Rams to cheer us up next week but there will still be a huge sporting void left by this incredible last 6 weeks.

350 will be a tough chase with the way that they bat but there's no reason (as long as I don't put the kiss of death on them) that we can't reach 400 if these pair can stick around for a bit. 

Foakes probably makes less of a mess of the stumping too. Even if it was out.

No panic yet but our bowlers looked pretty tired steaming in last night. Aussies got way more out of the pitch and more swing with the ball, creating 16 chances in just over two sessions. Jimmy and Broad were seen off without threat again with the new ball, the danger coming from Wood and Woakes.

Hopefully we can get into them early and try and get ourselves back into the game. Not sure it's doing much for test cricket if we lose the series 3-1, probably more of a justification of playing the way Australia are currently. 

There's still plenty of time to turn this around.

I can’t say I remember every preseason we’ve ever had but this appears normal to me? 

Seem to remember us always having a curtain raiser fixture before we start. Leicester, Real Betis, Girona and Rangers to name a few recent ones.

Regardless of manager or style this has always been the case recently. We used to boo the last “successful” team off of the pitch if we were 0-0 at HT. The unity PP had post PL relegation in the early 00’s has long gone. We even gave Phil Brown the benefit of the doubt for a while! 

Derby till I die or until we fail to wipe the floor with Fleetwood Town.
