DB83 reacted to Wistaston Ram in Port Vale (A) Tues 24th Jan
Skinned shins, no voice, leaping onto the guy next to me, I am 55 years old for Christ's sake, but what a night!

They’d have a bigger budget if a few more of them turned up. And made a bit more noise

It was a good TV show but what's it got to do with Port Vale away?? ?

Also worth mentioning how well Springett did in the build up to our winner. He sprinted to keep the ball alive that looked like it was gone and that built our attack. Great to see the desire from him to win it.

He can also be a 19 year old kid on loan at a big but ailing club, with all the pressure that brings, who gets endless stick, way more than any other member of the squad and yet tries his f****** heart out every game, creating as many scoring chances for others as anyone on the roster.
This s***'s easy! ?

Great comments! People need to Google Harry Kane at the same age...on loan at lower league clubs and not really pulling up any trees...Dobbin will have a decent career in football.

50 points on the board. They can’t take that away from us

Re: Dobbin. People have to be realistic (I know - ridiculous). If he were some kind of superstar wonder kid and/or ‘the finished article’ he wouldn’t have been sent to League 1. What he lacks in finishing he more than makes up for in overall contribution. He’s doing well. He’s developing. Give the kid a break (I know, another ridiculous comment).

How is it a sitter? He curled it in to the top corner and hit the bar, unlucky.

DB83 got a reaction from jono in Bolton Wanderers (H) Sat 21st Jan
I think we were slightly fortunate that our defensive injuries also coincided with their best striker (Bodvarsson) sustaining a season-ending injury earlier in the week. Probably didn't make a huge difference, but perhaps just made things slightly easier than they might have been for us.

He said “the first ten minutes of the second half”

First half, Curtis looked like a guy that hadn’t started a game since October. Second half, he looked like he had 45 minutes of football under his belt. If he starts on Tuesday, I reckon he’ll look like a player with 90 minutes of football in the tank. Hope that helps everyone ?.

Curtis is at the fag end of his career, just back from a serious injury with his first start, up against a big handfull. He lost a duel or two early, but over the piece he did the necessary, we won and they never looked seriously like scoring until Mr Magoo with the flag at the end.
Tricky game today against a good side, and we completely deserved the victory. Could have had 4.
The tests keep coming, and we keep knocking them over. Fun this. Who knows where it ends?

A tad harsh. He wasn’t at his best, but ‘shocking’ smacks of unfair hyperbole.

Warne has only signed one player so far and he's an inexperienced kid ?

DB83 reacted to ramsbottom in Bolton Wanderers (H) Sat 21st Jan
I was right in line, in the North East, and it was out. But I’m not surprised the lino didn’t give it, he barely made a decision all afternoon.
Pound for pound, and taking into account the (supposed) quality of the opposition, that was the best performance of the season. Thought everyone of the lads put a shift in, but Barks & Kory Smith stood out for me. Word too for Didzy, his closing down, especially in the 1st half, set the tone

There was a lot of concern leading up to the game about the referee - understandable given some of his past performances- but I thought he had a decent match, particularly letting play continue in the lead-up to our first goal. The odd occasions when he made mistakes were because he was let down by the buffoon running the East Stand line - where on earth do they get these idiots from?

Morecambe away was the game postponed when the Queen died, Cheltenham was because of international call ups.

No he didn't. He made some excellent interceptions. Him and Fozzy dealt with them very effectively.

DB83 reacted to CBRammette in One year on since the march
It was such an emotional day and your sentiment is lovely but things like that are in response to circumstances at time. Perhaps club could put montage of film together and/or get one of my main memories of day being Punjabi Rams drummers on pitch before closest home match date or somethhing. But sorry think march rerun would fall bit flat and hopefully we never need to do it again

DB83 got a reaction from Andicis in They're playing football now, not hoofball.
It was hostile because he was replacing an already good, and young, manager. Hull are well up the league since Rosenior joined them, only one loss since he arrived in October. Remember, Warne has signed no-one yet. All of our current "success" (and we're still miles behind automatic promotion, btw) is due to the squad assembled by LR.
