I think the fact he was on the Wednesday bench, means he's not first choice, then they brought on 2 other forwards, and then after Southampton took the lead, he brought on a midfielder..and so Smith, last years top goalscorer wasn't even thought of...speaks volumes of his managers intentions.
I would suggest he will definitely leave this window..just whether we can afford him is the issue!

Think this is nothing to do with is Smith better than Waggy...as Smith is a no 9 and Warne says Waggy is a no 10.
The more important question is Smith better than Collins..which i think is probably a yes..just, but a yes none the less...
I would sign them both..then we would have 2 no 9's and 2 no 10's....(as well as Sibley, Barkhuizen and Mendez Laing...none of whom seem to fit our formation???)

Lets hope they start earning their money...its not rocket science..find someone that is capable of scoring 20+ goals in League 1...make sure they work hard and are a decent human being...oh and don't costalot!!!

I think Waggy will be signed..he wants to play, he's a hard worker, he has good character in the dressing room...all traits Warne likes..its a no brainer...also, when Elder is fit, Thommo now can cover lwb, so maybe we can get 2 forwards, Waggy and Rhodes, and also a young forward, maybe Dobbin??
