Ghost of Clough got a reaction from cstand in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
Indeed. Debt rumoured to be lower than Mr Pop's Bristol, and Gibson's Smoggies.
Wage bill supposedly in the Preston/Wigan/Millwall/Hull range now

I can't see it being successful in all seriousness. Two of the main reasons being: us buying players during the period, us not selling players during the period.
Last summer we bought Jozwiak and Byrne for fees. Marshall, te Wierik, Ibe, Kazim all on frees plus Clarke on loan. This summer we signed Allsop, Jagielka, Stearman, Morrison and Baldock.
We know about rejected multi-million pound bids for Buchanan and Lawrence just days before going into administration. If we were so close to the edge at that point, why didn't we sell?

The appeal is against administration, not P&S. Any successful appeal can only be on the grounds of Covid, or more accurately, the club not going into admin if it wasn't for Covid.
From what @angieram said (or my memory recalls her saying), it's a case of agreeing a business plan with the EFL or it's an embargo for 2 years.

I think the business plan and embargo sit side by side. But hopefully a softer embargo than we are under now.

... and no other league clubs north of the Tyne, other than Berwick, until you reach Edinburgh.
Derby also has a far higher population of migrants, both UK-born and non-UK, who have no automatic allegiance to DCFC.
NUFC is undoubtedly a core part of Geordie identity, which makes the natives naturally supportive, but they also benefit from relative isolation other than by proximity to Sunderland.

If true, then he can only see it as an investment opportunity. Clear the debts, up to 5 years to get back to the PL, then selling for a profit.

Yeah, I see it that way too. I don't mind that either. We need a few years of being sensibly run to clean up this mess we're in. Somebody coming in and throwing cash around would probably just lead to us being in further mess at present.

Ghost of Clough got a reaction from Crewton in Academy Thread 21/22
White, Dunk and Sanchez are very good PL players but I think it's a bit of a stretch to call their academy world class.
Sanders (22) is struggling to get into a L1 side. Alzate (signed aged 19, now 23) is just a PL squad player. March and Connolly onoy squad players too. Walton (25) had a couple of seasons in the Championship but now can't even get into a L1 side. Molumby (22) has had a couple of seasons now as a Championship squad player.
