Don’t worry, he’ll be playing in the EFL next season, at a club that’s virtually guaranteed to go up thanks to parachute payments.

And then he was poo again. The bit in the middle was like a four inch sandwich made from two inch slices of poo with a sliver of tasty ham about seven atoms thick, that also somehow smelt of poo as well.

Starting again in league 2 would be like doffing our cap and saying yes sir no sir thank you EFL sir, when in reality they’ve killed us off but want to keep the income we generate.

I'm certainly drifiting in that direction - I can cope with dropping down to Leage One (I've said before, the actual league is not that important to me if I can watch my team putting in the necessary effort, a bit of skill and more wins than losses) - not sure however that I could keep going if we're being 'owned' by the EFL for another 2 seasons with their pettiness and business plan combined with yet another season subject to penalty points....

We enjoyed the signings because we stupidly and wrongly thought that Morris and DCFC could afford these signings....but if we knew it was putting our club in jeopardy of course we would'nt...
what?? are we supposed to not like every signing because we think the controller/owner/man in charge of our football club is gambling with our future???? No we/ I thought Morris is a business man knows how to run a business so you trust him......only to over spend....not pay the tax man and then walk away....please wake up and smell the coffee mate....its a ludicrous statement to make saying did we like the signings?? of course we did....what we did not know was we had someone slowly sentencing our club to all of this misery.....He was and is responsible for this and he should be giving the stadium back as he's walked away from debt he orchestrated!! fact?

I know, I did mention that I'm not sure if it's true but maybe Ashley thinks he can swing it. His ruthlessness and ability to not care a jot what anyone including fans think of him is quite incredible.
But paying 20+ mil for a club with 6 players on the books, no stadium, that's probably dropping a league, will probably get a 15 point deduction in that league and be forced to work under another embargo or very strict business plan seems like a bad investment. Our history means mostly nothing to anyone that's not a fan. I mean just YouTube us and just about everyone under 35 just knows us as the worst prem team ever. A phoenix club if it started in league 2 would still attract good attendances for that league and over time could build back. Everyone loves a winner they say lol.
I hope to whatever footballing gods there are that I am wrong and I am just freaking myself out after another day of disapointing news, I just find it hard trust anyone involved in this admin process at all, no matter what side they are on.

Yes, it’s very odd being on the wrong end of it, the only ones who seem to have any empathy are those who have been through similar themselves, although you do sometimes get the odd one or two who see the bigger picture, but they get shouted down pretty quickly.
Id also say there was no way we could have done anything about it when Morris was in charge either, you’re never going to get an angry mob marching on the stadium demanding their owner stop spending money on players. IIRC there were many times questions were raised at the fan forums about the amortisation policy, but we were assured it was all above board (and I believe they genuinely thought it was), then by the time of the stadium sale Morris had pretty much gone to ground and we didn’t really have a voice any more, although plenty were against it on the forums.
