Mucker1884 reacted to nick_d in Match Thread: Leyton Orient (h)
There was a group of lads in the west stand, one of them dressed in a Derby strip (shirt, shorts and socks). I got chatting to them in the concourse at half time, turns out it was a stag do, the groom, dressed in the strip, was a Leyton Orient fan and after the match they were heading to Nottingham for a night out.
Class😀

Must admit, I was surprised to see that at HT, we'd had 1 shot on target... yet were leading 2-0! The Beeb had it down as an OG. I had a decent view from the NE corner, and there was no hint of an OG live, and nobody around me hinted at it. I've yet to see any highlights though.
🤷♂️
EDIT:
Seen the highlights now... looks 100% Wilson to me, and his immediate reaction appears to back it up?
More interestingly, what the heck was Cashin doing as the corner came over his head... it was hardly a subtle attempt at a "Hand of God"! I hope his handball was miss was deliberate! 🤣

Mucker1884 reacted to Day in Rebecca Welch
Trying to figure out why her gender is relevant here, that is the box you are referring as being ticked?
You are aware that all other referees are male and have been making bad decisions week in week out since the dawn of the game, yet their gender is never relevant in the aftermath.
It's those poor decisions which has led to the introduction of VAR, which again has made some terrible decisions even with all this technology by a bunch of men sat in a room together.
I haven't seen what happened yesterday, assuming you are correct and it was a ludicrous decision, it won't be her first nor her last, likewise with every referee in the game.
If your first thought however is to come here and moan about a woman making one bad decision out of how many correct decisions over a 90 minute game of football, does come across as a bit Joey Barton like.

What is the box ticking? She was pretty much head and shoulders above the other referees at our level and was correctly promoted to the level above.

Great trip again yesterday. Thanks to all who made it possible.
Would recommend it to anyone in the region who wants a different routine on match day.
Lots of amiable chat amongst Rams fans, a spot of lunch and a drop off closer to the ground than you’d get by car or train.
The organisers guarantee a home win every time the coach operates (may have made that last bit up but two from two recently!)

My sister (I was her carer today as her hubby was poorly so I was up on the wheelchair platform in the NE corner) said "I wish Sibley could tackle - everything else in his game is brilliant").
30 seconds later, you could hear the crunch. It was excellent - and inspirational.

I am happy to report that the Sister-in-law’s boyfriend was allowed in the house and a very agreeable post-match curry was enjoyed by all! COYR!

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but has anyone seen the bit on twitter about Bolton's season ticket launch video? It unfortunately includes a picture of Derby fans by mistake under the wording" All Wanderers". Just made me laugh. Maybe someone cleverer than me can link it.

I don't think anyone has ever said that before, to be fair. It's not a particularly catchy saying, if I'm honest!

Mucker1884 got a reaction from europia in Where do you think we'll finish this season?
I guess it depends how and when they finish third. I wonder if there's stats out there to show how the third place team do after dropping there at the final hurdle!
I'm tempted to side with @europia on this. If we end up third now, it won't just be the players who will need a psychological lift!
... *Although last day failure might be good for the forum, what with a 100 page matchday thread, and lots of lovely "told you so" threads! 👀
