I don’t think Wycombe or their fans will be 100% tonight. Their season is over. And I don’t think they remain as focused as we do on the Morris/Couhig history. The only question is whether our fans will goad them from their torpidity…
Torpidity..........impressive use of the english language.

We are in pole position. Embrace the final games, don't cower behind the sofa.

A Poisson distribution is a discrete probability distribution. It gives the probability of an event happening a certain number of times (k) within a given interval of time or space. The Poisson distribution has only one parameter, λ (lambda), which is the mean number of events.
No need to thank me 🤪
Yeah but why is it called "poisson" that's what I need to know....

It’s entirely alien to me to effectively watch a team come to Pride Park and allow them to dominate play and possession to the point where to me it’s “anti-football”. Goes against every sinew of my football-loving being. Ok we got the 3 points and we looked reasonably comfortable but for me it’s high risk and not how I would ever set up a team to play. It’s not the spirit of the beautiful game.
Actually I thought first half the game was very even in terms of football, passing chances. I enjoyed it. We did sit back with a view to countering second half which I didn't enjoy but currently the team are very good at it.

If you want to go a bit further and into the peak district Hadden Hall is worth a visit as is Chatsworth House. Both will be busy mind as it's a bank Holiday.

I don’t think it’s consistency that fans crave it’s basics like getting the ball down and try and play football even if it doesn’t work. Games like Sat make us look a poor side and we have had far to many off days even if we are 2nd.
Agreed. I want to be proud of my team and currently I'm not. I'm proud of our history, proud of our stadium, proud of our training facilities, proud of our fans but I'm not proud of the team when they play like they did Saturday. Absolutely unacceptable.

Very disappointing first half.

Hope you are right . Wouldn’t like to see Wildsmith go . With the greedy Prem clubs not agreeing handouts to EFL clubs - it’s hard to know what you can pay next season , whichever division we are in .
I mentioned elsewhere that on the news last night it said the government football regulator will be able to take the decision about financial distribution of funds away from the Premier League.
-
On the news last night it said a football regulator would ensure a more even distribution of money in that it wouldn't be the prem clubs voting to keep it all.

The club don’t always show all the available tickets on the website Ticket Portal. As games get closer to a sell out then more are released to buy online.
What's the reasoning, any idea?

We played some good football yesterday. Mixed slick patterns of play with power and pace up front. Gayle making a huge difference by helping our wide men stick to what they are best at. His link up play is above this level. Shame he's past his best but if he wasn't he wouldn't be with us now.
-
Ward having a good game against my expectations so well done to him.
I wish we were a little more controlled when defending under pressure. We would look a lot better if we could find our man rather than just clearing. Of course there are times to just clear it but not as much as we do.

Either way this set up just isolates Gayle.
The only way to get something out of his type of striker is to have someone just never more than 5-10 yards behind so they can latch onto his movement of defenders.
If Bird and Adams are playing that flat 2 were gonna need Sibley and Ward to not give the ball away so easily when we've committed to attacks.
Asking for Sibley and Ward not to give the ball away is a bridge too far........

Either a back 3 of Nelson, Cashin and Bradley with Ward and Sibley at wing back? Or a back 4 of…..someone…it’s a 3 isn’t it. Some sort of 3-4-3?
Wildsmith
Nelson Bradley Cashin
Ward Adams Bird Sibley
NML Gayle Barkhuizen
Absolutely no guile in midfield

That was really bad. The ball was in the air far too much for which both sides were to blame.
Unfortunately we are not very good. Living some distance away there is no way I will travel to watch our football. It's tv only for me I'm afraid and that saddens me.

I absolutely do not understand football club valuations. They seem to defy all commercial logic given all bar the handful who win everything and have global brands run at a loss.
Totally agree. Not sure how they are doing now but in Bournemouths first season in the Premier league they lost £96m or something like that. Crazy.

We all want Louie to do well becuase we all want all our players to do well. Football in some respects is easy. All Louie has to do is perform at a high enough level no matter what position he plays and he will become a regular starter. That isnt asking too much its just what he needs to do but as yet hasn't.
First and formost for me he has to improve his ball retention and passing. He loses the ball or gives it away far too easily when in possession. He isn't blessed with much pace which means protecting the ball and knowing when to pass are so important. Basically I dont see a player who is going to take the team forwards as I thinkwe have others who are better.
I hope Im completely wrong but its not what I see.
Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
