    I was where you are.
The last episode is worth waiting for.
It’s undoubtedly a clever programme, but a bit style over substance at times in this latest series.
Saul/ Jimmy is a great fictional character and one that will stay in the memory. Similarly I won’t be able to watch Rhea Seehorn without thinking of Kim Wexler.

I’m very bullish about our chances.
I watched the Oxford game and thought how weak our bench was. Since then, players have emerged and are very much in contention for a start. Even though Davies and Chester have been injured, we seem to have defensive cover.
Midfield has improved but still needs to be braver.
Up front, we are tense because no one has yet established the confidence of scoring regularly. This Saturday will be the day the tap gets switched on.

It should be an entertaining game. One of the more attractive fixtures. Hope we can make some noise!

Marriage: being touted as great BBC drama but I'm three quarters of the way through and it's passing me completely by. Meant to be intimate and 'small' but it's just slow and thin. Writing is poor, characters (particularly the boss character and the daughters boyfriend), scenarios etc are totally unbelivable. Something amazing has to happen in the last episode to save anything of this.

Though obvious, It's worth pointing out that what you experience as a general visitor/tourist will usually be very different to what you may have experienced as a visiting football supporter, certainly in the 1968-1990 period. Experiences stay with people, good and bad. I've had few experiences bad enough to dislike anywhere particularly, and certainly not in Liverpool, but I've come across nobheads everywhere. Good people though tend to outnumber bad people in most places.

Yes, it’s great but whilst I’ve not seen the last episode I haven’t really enjoyed Saul’s decline in the past three episodes. His humour and relationship with Kim were his redeeming features and whilst I understand the inevitability (and the parallels with Walter White) it has made it less entertaining. I’ve also missed Gus Fring and Co.
    Very clever show, though.

    Wildsmith
    Odurah Stearman Cashin Roberts
        Knight         Bird      Sibley
        NML           McGoldrick     Dobbin

Sibley and Dobbin work well together. Knight and NML work well together.
McGoldrick knits it all together fed by Bird.
Potential weakness at RB but sometimes you have to throw youngsters in and see how they cope.

    So, a question.
Does Bird get a start in our best eleven?
We have a range of skills and other ‘neat and tidy’ players.
    Thoughts?

Totally agree. I used to comment about Bielik that he was the one player in our squad that actually put any thought into his headers - he’d often knock it towards a team mate who was in a position to start a counter attack. It’s a very basic thing, but it was so important to us as a team, and no one else seems capable of it. You compare to Stearman, god bless him he tries, but duck me he really doesn’t put any thought into his headers - his job is done when he wins the ball in his mind, no matter where it ends up next.
I’ve also thought that the set up from our corners could be an issue too. Even when we get a good delivery in, there’s never anyone on the end of it. You look at where players are stood before a corner is delivered, and you never think “he’s gonna score here”, we’re far too easy to defend against.

It’s heading in general. Watch the teams we play against. They not only win headers, they direct them to team mates. We seem to put all our effort into heading it hard and it goes straight to the opposition.
That’s been the case for a while.
We should try getting bodies to the near post for a flick on. Can’t see any of the current team winning headers from a long ball.

How can you criticise a manager when you create so many chances away?
    Two clean sheets away.
    LR can’t shoot for them.
Five different forwards. Same lack of killer instinct, allied with some robust defending from the home side.
Win at home, draw away and you won’t go far wrong.

Better start to the season than I'd hoped for. Despite being a brand new team thrown together very quickly we are playing some nice stuff at times and creating loads of chances. Liam needs to be brave and believe in his way of playing, the worst thing he can do at the moment is listen to criticism from fans.
Hopefully he has been around football for long enough to know that fans are generally very fickle (not having a go at any on here, its just a football thing that happens).
We have had an horrendous couple of of years and we stuck together to keep our club alive. Its now back to normal where some fans think we should win every game and have a sense of superiority over so called smaller teams. Perhaps these fans are embarrassed to draw at Fleetwood if they work with gumps? Whatever, tell them to eff off or ignore them, it doesn't matter.
We are where we are, we are fighting to build a squad capable of getting us out of this tough division. So far, Liam seems to be doing everything right, the players have gelled far quicker than is normal and despite still getting to know each other are dominating games, working hard for each other and the gaffer.
We will not win every game, we will have to be patient, but if the team continues to create chances we will start to convert draws into wins......its not going to be easy but from what I've seen so far I believe we are on the right track.
Others have mentioned Brian Clough and Jim Smith, I was a bit young when Clough came in 1967 but I can clearly remember Jim getting grief early on before Igor arrived part way through the season we got promoted......
After all we'd been through I am a bit disappointed that a few on here are so quick to moan, but its half a dozen folks on a forum that only 5% (if that) of our fanbase uses, so nowt to worry or fall out about.
As long as we all do our best to get behind the players every match, thats the only important thing, and never forget, thats the only thing what us fans can do to actually influence results.
    Come on you Rams ?
