Anag Ram reacted to Reggie Greenwood in Summer transfer suggestion thread
He looked decent in those games. Notice Crewe’s season fell away a bit after he left in January.

Joe White at Newcastle would fit the bill as a talented youngster who needs game time.
21yo attacking midfielder with a great pass on him.
nb I missed the p off pass first time round and am really glad I didn’t press send 😊

I have a new series to challenge Clarkson’s Farm.
Called Jacob’s Crackers, it will be set on the plantation.
Boris will be my Caleb, crashing his tractor and impregnating the serfs.
I’ll be seen twiddling my cane and pretending to engage with the commoners. It all sounds a hoot.

Haha yes Charlize Theron is 'on my radar' but we've not been linked, other than the restraining order...

I’m heartened that we haven’t dived into transfers so far. A lot of the names linked are not very original or inspiring.
I am hoping for some left field thinking, definitely some youth and pace and a clear direction for the team.

I hope they do. Nyambe would eat him for breakfast.

If you have the space….Buy a nice tree, and plant it together…pick one that you feel connected to.
Then over the years the tree will grow, hopefully mirroring your love for each other.
We plant trees for special occasions, each one holding memories of that period in our relationship.
My partner often talks about how these trees are doing, and we reminisce about what we were doing around the time that a particular tree was planted …if it’s a fruit trees she also takes great delight in using the fruit in recipes for family and friends….seeing this fruit as being born from love…kind of sympathetic magic if your into that sort of thing
The trees are symbolic of our love for each other, for Mother Earth and of the spiral dance.

Episode three of Inside Number Nine is a classic. Filmed through a door cam.
They are such clever writers.

I'm 6 months sober today, and apart from a couple of hiccups, I have drank very little in the time since my board meltdown 18 months or so ago (I'm guessing).
I'm sick of people in recovery circles saying alcohol is evil.
Alcohol isn't evil, I've had some of the best times of my life in its company.
It's just not right for some people, and too many people are uneducated about how it is/can affect them, but demonising something doesn't help. It just makes people with good intentions look evangelical and hysterical.
Just because I can't drink responsibly doesn't mean I'm a miserable ducker and expect the world to abstain.

It's like signing someone on the back of a couple of half-decent World Cup games - something that should never be done. All the EFL saw Murphy have a decent game at the weekend. We need to be way cleverer about where we're looking for our players.

Anag Ram reacted to Ambitious in Josh Murphy
He’s been good since Manning left Oxford, but I just don’t see how this one fits. He doesn’t, or at least didn’t, fit the system that we played last season and he’s an older, depreciating winger.
He ticks no boxes for what Warne has publicly stated that he wanted in recruitment this summer. In fact, it flies in the face to how we said we would approach it.

Get him some amphetamines. I’ve heard 70 is the legal speed limit.

Anag Ram reacted to Bris Vegas in UEFA Euro 2024 Thread
In years gone by we have had too many bag holders. Players who play for the world's best domestic sides, but all they are is support players for better teammates.
But it finally feels like in Kane, Foden, Bellingham and Rice we have players who are actually their own team's better players.
Having said that, that is only four positions. I feel we are weak at left-back, central defence and the midfield balance. Bellingham has had an amazing season playing as a false 9. That's half of Kane's role. Rice hasn't been playing as a holding midfielder, more as a number 6. And Foden is better centrally, so where does he and Bellingham fit in the same team?
I hope we don't have another Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard situation of brilliant midfield players but they can't play together.

I think Warne said something about six weeks in terms of signings. That was only ten days or so ago.
At the moment it seems to be about identifying targets.
I am hoping for some exciting surprises rather than just a few from teams who didn’t quite make it up this year.
I’m trying to stay relaxed about it all but that will end when the first corner flag post drops 😊
