Probably been told he isn't the preferred bidder.
Personally didn't like him blabbing away on twitter through the whole process before he actually bought the club as if this happened (always inevitable) then he'll look a bit daft.
Also don't really like the petulance on show from him today either. To come out on twitter in the way he has isn't exactly what I'd want to see.
One thing though, clearly the fact he's been showed round the place by Rooney's agent, can obviously see why Rooney wanted him to get the club.
Lots of people assuming Rooney will end up going now CK won't be the owner.
To be quite honest. Whilst I absolutely think how Rooney has held himself and acted through all of this deserves a huge amount of credit and also a fair crack at bringing us back up. I also wouldn't be massively disappointed if he did leave and we just started from scratch.

Representatives from BAWT have been in touch with the WWFC board regarding the ongoing legal case and have received a supportive and encouraging reply. Over the coming days, we hope to engage in a positive dialogue and explain the fears of #dcfc fans if the case is pursued.

...and their official club Twitter account produced a GIF especially to rub it in.
They've never really learnt humility, or contrition, as a club, have they?

Bye then. The admin team are saying they are looking to settle , and I don't think either Boro or Wycombe would settle for nothing.

Absolutely.  Posted this earlier. In terms of administration there is no problem concluding a sale with this in the background.  There is no debt accrued in relation to this.  It may be a bidder is looking at this a potential cost and that's what these two parasites are counting on.  If someone buys the club and says I'll look at these two shithouses later, they don't concern me, they'll soon scuttle off.  This would never get to a court settlement.  The whole premise is absurd and if it got that far other clubs would veto it.  Lest we forget,  we potentially lost a sale last year due to another of Gibsons spurious claims and then couldn't get apply for a covid loan due him pushing the envelope on appeal.  If a buyouts successful we could counter claim and in absolute spades.  As for his gimp at Wycombe - send him an envelope with a dollar someones wiped there arse on - blokes a joke and a bigmouthed one at that.

The preferred bidder could refuse to pay Parasite 1 and Parasite 2 a penny I assume and agree to let the courts deal with it after the takeover is complete?
Still gobsmacked and annoyed that the EFL are letting these 2 scumbags take this forward at all..

It's abhorrent what Boro and Wycombe are doing - they are going beyond 'chancing' a payout, they are striving to kill a historic football club. Shame on them.
If they have any case at all - and I'm amazed if they do - surely it's against the EFL for not applying the rules and punishments.
As for the Administrator minutes, I think folks from both sides of the argument have valid points - expectations have been set too high and it is more complicated than a second hand car sale.
Nevertheless, the ever shifting dates - now into February for the sale - are extremely worrying.
Kirchner's new found silence is deafening.
There is so little said about other bidders, rumours spring up of joint bids are then shot down again.
No one here truly knows what's happening.
But given the continual reassurances that a preferred bidder will be named soon, with the latest announcement saying it will happen by the end of this week.... If that doesn't materialise, then I will be seriously fearing the worse.
Being away from the area these days, I'm reliant on Sky and RamsTV, only attending the odd game. I doubt that the Sandiacre & Ilkeston Sunday Morning Pub League gets a lot of national TV coverage.

Vultures is the word I would use.
People have lost their livelihoods, some probably their homes over what’s happened to the club. If we go into liquidation, I’m sure many more will also follow suit.
These two prats, who also happen to be multi millionaires just couldn’t help themselves could they, like vultures picking the meat off a dead carcass
there are now 2 clubs that I despise more than Forest and Leeds

Consensual agreement with Boro and Wycombe? Why don't we tell the chancer bar stewards to do one? Paying them a single penny for their absurd claims would be a travesty and an embarrassment.

Preferred bidder announced next week, along with a £5m non-refundable deposit - which I believe is enough to cover all costs until we've played our last game of the season. Therefore, no fire sale will be required in January and gives the admin team and buyer plenty of time to sort everything out.
It would be ideal for it to go through before the end of January so we can be active in the transfer market and start extending some contracts, but I think that's very unlikely. Mid-Feb is my guess for when it's completed.
