No I think it’s a good idea as it’s in the evening and its a relief from training during a 2 week break.
The club has to communicate with the fan base .
I hope we smash Pompey now.

Synonym meaning Similar and opposite words.
Similar, having a resemblance in appearance, character, or quantity, without being identical.
Shall we go on, or just accept it's now called the Premier League and has been for a number of years now?
Sad thing in all this is, it just shows how long we've been out of it when some of us don't even know what it's even called now. 😭

The point of matches is to win.  And I go to see Derby, hopefully, win.
Resultantly when the dice are so loaded against us, I would far rather be playing Bolton and know we’re going to be competitive than rocking up to Liverpool with it being a foregone conclusion, and scratching around the bottom like Everton do every year.
Of course, I would love to see Derby doing well in the top flight and in Europe, however I am pragmatic enough to appreciate that is pretty much a closed shop.

No, his style is not for me, tbh, Curtains.
But I listened to him and thought about what he said.
Whether I like him personally or not isn't important,  it's what he can get the team to produce on a football field that is.

So how is that supposed to make us feel better.  It’s like a referee saying sorry I shouldn’t have sent him off I got it wrong.

I've given my thoughts on Warne's football on the appropriate thread. I wouldn't say it was poor, in theory. It's awful when it doesn't work and too reductive to be a success at a higher level. When it does work it creates a lot of excitement.
There are some good things but it's held back by a few other things about his ideology which will always cause us certain problems
I think on the overall balance and in the grand scheme of things Paul Warne is quite a poor football manager, he's no tactician, but he's a very good front man for a coaching team, and has other qualities which can make up for the areas he's lacking. Can.
When I say poor I don't mean it insultingly, he's far from incapable, just that there are more negatives IMO than positives.
Being a 'poor' manager (maybe I should say limited, rather than poor?) isn't actually a massive a barrier to (relative) success anyway - which is why I've pointed toward Phil Brown & Aidy Boothroyd in other posts - both poor managers but it hasn't stopped either of them achieving success at a higher level than Warne has (so far).

No reason in principle why not but a lot of things have to go right at the same time from player to manager (and that is NOT a comment about our current manager). And above all we would have to have a lot of luck going our way on everything from referees decisions to academy fruitfulness.
If there’s anything I worry about about David Clowes’ ownership is his relative wealth. He’s clearly a rich man by any stretch of imagination. Good for him.  But he isn’t football rich it seems to me even at championship level never mind PL level. When you have clubs effectively owned by countries rather than individuals then having a couple of hundred million isn’t enough, especially if you then want your club/business to be self sustainable.
There are reasons why very few (can’t name any but I presume there are some) football clubs are actually self sustainable and genuinely have income greater than expenditure. I doubt any in the PL actually are, nor the championship for that matter and so for us to get there requires someone to spend/gamble enough to make it possible or take a long time (and have a lot of patience). We’re not a club with a lot of patience from top to bottom as these pages often demonstrate.
I don’t know how many years of watching live football I have left.  I’ve done 60 or so. David Clowes’ relative financial weakness is a huge problem for football as a whole and is the result of FFP and TV plus feeble football administration. I live in hope that we will gain two promotions in the next 10 years or so and that I see it,  but I’m not expecting it. We certainly can’t win anything in the top league any more other than individual matches. I am just glad that I have lived through the golden age of football when football life was simpler, fairer and better. And we were good.

What is the definition of Warneball?
Is what we're seeing on the pitch, the type of football PW, wants us to play? I know that ultimately, it's his responsibility for what happens on the pitch, but if you listen to his after match comments after a poor performance, he complains about the players aimlessly lumping the ball forward. He seems to be as unhappy with their style as we are.
From these comments, I would suggest that we are not yet playing the way he wants us to, but it's up to him and the coaching staff, to change that.

I like good, passing football, and am able to enjoy “long ball” of the George Thorne variety. What I do like that Paul Warne has brought us is the urgency with which we get the ball forwards, especially having seen so much of the sideways and backwards variety under Clement, Cocu and Rosenior.
But apart from the Wigan match this season, we simply haven’t come up with the goods, barely able to string more than two or three passes together, and being outplayed by the opposition, especially lesser teams on much lower budgets. I don’t go matches to watch the opposition play well, I go to watch us play better than them.

So are you saying David Clowes didn’t do due diligence on Paul Warne !
I think that’s unfair on David Clowes if true. .
Not having a go at you mate as you are pretty consistent with your views in this. .
I seem to remember I was on here saying I wanted Rosenior to stay and got hammered for it as the majority view on the forum was pro Warne appointment including his big detractors now.
I always try to get behind the manager and players at Derby County and I think our Chairman who saved DCFC and Paul  Warne and the players deserve some slack.
If we win the next load of games and shoot up the League and get promoted will the Paul Warne detractors change their views .
I also don’t get this vitriol against Paul Warnes style of management and against his interview techniques.
He is who he is and I don’t mind him at all .
