Thought the big man deserved his own thread for his game and not just have it crambed in amongst all the other meaningless pre season fixtures.
10 years is incredible in this day an age, two horrible injuries and when u think, “ thats fozzy done - thinking that sheff wednesday game when he had a pig of a game… he bounce's back better than ever.
Will always be remembered fondly but “that” season under mac mk1 he was absolutely sublime. His first time low crosses were an absolute thing of beauty and is half the reason chrissy martin got as many as he did. He must have been a centre forwards dream to play with

I've got a feeling he'll have a good season and score more than expected. He's not a great techical footballer but will put himself in the right areas to get on the end of crosses. The two Ward crosses he put away have been top notch.
He should watch some videos of Shearer, he too often sems to end up in a wrestling match with his defender, he needs to look at Shearers fouling technique and make some space for himself by shoving the defender while the ball is about to be crossed and no one is watching.

Really wish i could make this but we’re on holiday. Hope Fozzy gets the love he deserves, what a guy.

Hope PP gets a gate of 8000 or more , Fozzy has been a great servant to the club , 2 serious injuries but he keeps plugging away, great attitude, great example to the younger players and never lets us down, and all for 140000 pounds, great signing from Mr Clough, in Fozzy case. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

Wilson - 14 assists for Forest Green in 21/22 (L2)
Ward - 23 assists in his last 2 season for Peterborough in L1, plus 11 goals.

Collins has played alright to be fair, put in a lot of effort as always & got on the score sheet. Missed a pen which was pretty casual.
Bird has been most impressive, hopefully Warne can get a good season out of him. Has all the attributes to boss this league, just needs to kick on this year.

I think Brad Johnson could still do a job at times next season 

Hardly gloating, just pointing out to those who say he doesn't do any of those things, that he clearly can.... I don't think he's a world beater but some of the comments about his lack of ability have been frankly disgraceful 

The budget has to be whatever DC sets. 
If he can't stretch to releasing more money from his own pocket, so be it, it needs no explanation.
I think some people are under the impression we can spend whatever we bring in through transfers, and add it to a pot that already exists.
Probably not the case, no matter how constrained our business was last season, and how much extra income we've achieved through season tickets, the great attendance figures last season, and the like, I'll bet we still lost money in League One. 
This is the reality that MM left us with.

You can thank Mel for that. All clubs exiting Admin are put under restrictions for the first 2 years, having to keep to an agreed business plan. This is our 2nd year. It's not that often that clubs get the type of reduction we have had this season. Those were the rules when Mel put us into Admin. Those are still the rules today. You're right when you say it's a punishment. One we were aware of the second Mel put us into Admin. 
Just be glad we are allowed to pay "moderate fees" and the wage cap has been increased.

Absolutely. If Sonny B is as good as I think/hope he is, he could have the Stimac effect. Obviously a very different player but in terms of presence, professionalism, grit, etc I think he's going to be huge for us. Nelson is a reliable, solid (and quick I think) player with Cash also being solid (and still developing) so I think we're going to be hard to beat. 3 hard b*stards at the back with athletic full backs and positionally good midfielders... that's going to work.
From watching Loach's interview, the team spirit and unity is spot on. When you get a group like that, at any level, they're a force to be reckoned with. Obviously a very different level but they have that Man City feels about them as a group - proper pros. It's clear from watching the interviews that PW's strategy is to create a group that fight for each other - I just don't see us signing flash Harry's or pure flair players - it'll be proper pros and for L1, that's exactly what's needed.
We just need those forward players and I'll be putting good money on us going up as league Champions. None of this play-off malarky!
