With the benefit of hindsight, maybe DC would have taken the 15 point hit and saved himself a few million or allowed him a few million more to spend on the team. But at the time of the purchase, before a ball was kicked that season, those 15 points could have made the difference between either promotion to the Championship or relegation to Lg2, DC wasn't prepared to take that risk. As it turned out, maybe the extra few million would have enabled us to fund an 'Ipswich' type team which would have got to the play offs even with a 15 point penalty, then winning the play offs and being promoted with a stronger team like Ipswich.
All ifs, buts and maybes.
It showed a real change in approach from the new regime, we do things right. Think the goodwill from paying your football creditor debts is also useful. He played a bit-part but would we have got TJJ from Arsenal this year if we hadn't paid them. Clubs needed to know we could pay our way.

Posts on social media are how teams get front of shirt sponsors? Thats Bad.
Although now we know that we are looking for a new sponsor it will be a bit of a Thriller to see if we get one on time for the start of the season.
Hope its somebody a bit Off The Wall

Drama free mid-table finish would suit, unless that drama is related to a bid for promotion in which case bring it on!

I still like the Allez Allez 21 points one but the words could be changed for the Championship.
Whenever I manage to get up for a game and the majority of the ground start singing that chant really gets me.
Great to hear everybody in fine voice and its sounds amazing, but it is a nod back to the tough times we have been through and are coming out of.
I am in my own little Derby bubble down here, but the worry was all consuming back then, looking on here and the DET for updates and any crumb of positive news. You don't know what you've got till its (almost) gone.

Got to be Curtis Nelson as reigning player of the year he is somebody that leads by example.
Bradley seems too much of a hot-head to be given the captaincy.
We gave it to NML toward the end of the season and in the last 8 games as captain he got 1 goal and 1 assist. Lets allow him the freedom to play and not have those captains responsibilities.

I always thought that he hung around longer than most in the hope that something would materialize for him but ended up going to Cardiff mid June.
Whilst I agree with the sentiment (wouldn't take Bielik or Buchanan now) he could be a viable cheaper alternative to the Rotherham goalie.
That being said us keeping hold of Wildsmith on a longer contract would be better all round

Then he gets to to play for us for a year after we gave him a trial, we offer him a long term deal and he tells us to do one when he could have been part of the resurgence of a club with a supporter base who took to him. Why dig him out the s*** again. It's a no from me. Appreciate others may have a different view but my memories long for this kind of thing.

Hull owner has highlighted disagreement with Rosenior over the handling of Allsop.
The owner wanted him rested and Rosenior said no.
Could be just at the right time for us if Wildsmith wants out
-
Not for me, feels a bit too short term, in a good position to build for the future now.
Feels like the squad is already top heavy with older forwards that we want rid of, why add another one?

All this uncertainty around Wildsmith not signing a new contract, wonder if Allsop could be available now that Hull have let Rosenior go.

More footballing teams, better pitches, could the move to the Championship help some players like Barks?

Happy to see the Dirties stay down, but being from Ipswich its hard to take when they are flying, never hear the end of it!
-
Considering his game time thus far, he could almost be considered the first signing of the new season.

I normally get in early enough to book parking at Chad Sainsburys or Premier Inn, too late this time.
If that fails its normally Car Park A or B, but there are a nightmare to get out of after the match.
I am going to try Derbion tomorrow, if you register beforehand you can park for £4 match days.

Me too, I got my ticket for the Carlisle game.
I am only in Ipswich so tempted to get myself up to Cambridge anyway.

Don't think that's his style. And there's no need to demonise him more than has been already done tbh.
Disagree with that, put us right in the crapper, got away lightly. Don’t mention the lost fortune, all his doing, nobody strong armed him into it. Amazed that somebody so willing to gamble as he did could accrue that much of a personal fortune in the first place.

They often call Forsyth "Fozzy".
Yes he does, doesn’t grate so much though so totally ignored it!

Why is Collins always “Collo” in commentary on RamsTv? No other player qualifies for this familiarity.

Happy Christmas you lot from a rams fan that should really get to games more than he does. Took my two boys to the Lincoln game, need to be at “church” more often. The infrequent visits mean that the “We are Derby” Poem and the South stand in full voice make the hairs on the back of my neck standup. Keep singing you don’t know how powerful it is.

They want to scrap FA Cup replays due to concern about player workload but then Spurs and Newcastle play in Australia 3 days after the season ends, crazy.
