Suppose if we have no idea what formation we’re playing neither will the opposition

Its the way we’re playing, the one dimensional tactics that make us look a shambles when they don’t work, the boring ugly style of football we’re having to endure, the hammering of square pegs into round holes Warne does week after week to try and make his rubbish system work and the total lack of a plan B when it doesn’t. These are the reasons some of us see absolutely nothing positive in any of the games.

My son lost his best friend, Jack, to suicide caused by gambling addiction.
There are 409 deaths related to gambling every year in England alone and a YouGov study from this year shows that 2.9 million people are either already addicted or at risk of being so, with a further 3.3 million classified as “affected others”. These stark figures show what we already know: gambling harm is not an issue affecting just a small minority, it is severely harming – sometimes killing – many.
To prevent any young fan from experiencing what Jack and so many others did, I'm urging Derby Country FC to cancel all gambling partnerships, say no to any new offers, and back The Big Step campaign.
It seems David Clowes is a good guy - I'm sure he'll listen. Please support this.
Thanks

I think that's right. There wasn't the extra bite and effort that, for instance, Wrexham showed against Sheffield United. It looked like Warne didn't mind if we lost, especially with the changes at 60 mins. Which is fair enough by me. But I think that means we can't really draw any conclusions from the match, other than West Ham were better than us.

Well, I made it! Thought it was an ok game with odd bits of decent football. As has been said many times the officials were dire. I usually give them a bit of slack as I used to watch my dad reffing local games but this lot were beyond the pale. I thought we just shaded it but we don’t seem to get out of the habit of taking one touch or one pass too many.
I did look for @Anag Ram on the station platform but there were rather a lot of men in Derby scarves and I really didn’t fancy getting a reputation for accosting ‘strange’ men! I thought I’d recognise his nanny but I didn’t see her either!
I’m so pleased to know I can manage a whole day including travel on my own. A bit tiring though as I slept nearly 12 hours last night! But well worth it to know I can do it.

This is to be my next big adventure- going to a match on my own. I used to regularly but 3 years ago today I was undergoing surgery to find my brain and then to repair the haemorrhage in it! As well as suffering small physical and mental losses, I also lost a lot of confidence. I’ve been setting myself challenges although my partner and family are not very enthusiastic! With this game being so early it means I can be back in Bristol for 5.30 so it’s not too long a day.
I may spend the following couple of days in a darkened room! COYR

Nice of them to put the predicted score right in the middle of the image.

Probably been said already upthread (and certainly on other threads), Bobby Madely is to referees what Conor Sammon is to centre-forwards.

Or of course might be 'new' to gambling and be wary, but upon seeing 32Red who sponsor Derby, think oh I know them they must be okay, I'll try them then. Or I wonder who our sponsors are, hmmm an online gambling company, is that a thing? I'll give it a go. They are seen as 'trustworthy' because of us allowing them on our shirt. Etc...
Just as likely as your scenario.

The gambling companies like the story to be that it is about your choice. To some extent it is of course, but online casinos are so addictive, it gets beyond you very easily. There must be some reason why some people get addicted and some (most) don't, but not having the addictive product put in front of your face would help not becoming addicted. My Gambling with Lives colleagues would say that you shouldn't blame yourself for becoming addicted. It was because Jack did blame himself that he took his own life.
