Must have been about 2k of season ticket holders that did not show up today. Agreed atmosphere was very flat from both sets of fans. Not sure why, maybe the cold weather, early kick off and less drinking time?

Yep three of the nine of us who are ST holders in SW Upper couldn’t make the game, one was working another on holiday and one had an appointment they had to attend, I struggled to make as under the weather .all our mates are ST holders so no real options to fill the seats ....so yep moving games KO times will impact..guess

Can’t believe all the stick sibley is getting if it was his position fair enough but he’s taking one for the team and us

Spot on...he is putting a real shift in , in a position that is alien to him and probably doesn’t enjoy playing ...he’s a no 10 imo

Imo thiis exactly what you need from a player, we should be lauding him not calling him

  3. Just caught up with this post, read every comment and some interesting opinions ..the one takeout for me is that he is only 21,  so has plenty of time ...I do though think this is a key season for him , so far on the games I have seen ( all home games bar one and 3 away games) would give him a 7/10

Think this will be one off our smallest attendances for a league fixture this season, with the uncertainty over the fixture reference the Queen, and the fact the Wycombe support could arrive in a taxi, cant see it even making 25000

24 to 25k would still be a magnificent attendance , especially is less than 1k from Wycombe ...one of the best atmospheres I have experienced at PP ( ST holder since 2000) was our win against Fulham and off top of my head think that gate was 22k ish... hoping for a cracking atmosphere on Sat

Fair point - I'm not sure they would take that much but possibly half of it for each booking made.

I think the other point certainly for Cup Games is that its non shared revenue.

I also think £2 for postage when a first class stamp is £0.95 is a little wrong as well!

I initially thought post cost high, but tbf it is packaging and postage costs ...costs are incurred by the club in terms of ‘manhours’ preparing envelopes, inserting tickets etc etc

  6. Shame the crowd is going to be small, completely understand that times are hard and WBA at home is not a great fixture , for non ST holders cost of quite a few home games over next few weeks

Tbh , I Wasn’t going to bother , but as I am fortunate in being able to afford it , I gave myself a talking too as I would of certainly gone to a new  away ground ( and that would have certainly been far more expensive) , it was only a couple of months ago when I/we were unsure we would have a club to support ...my tenner won’t I guess make much of a difference but I just want to support the club

Pity I can’t sit in my ST seat but hey a chance to experience the game in another area

  7. Looking at the sales so far for for the periods where Away members with 5 plus games can buy, then I suspect that for most games those with 5 plus who want to go to a particular away game will generally be able to acquire a ticket , a couple of the smaller allocation games maybe tight ( Cheltenham  for example)

Still only on sale to members at the moment, general sale tomorrow morning. No way of knowing how many members have not bought.

Ahh...my bad, didn’t realise not on General Sale...hopefully we can sell out then

  9. Aware that not an easy ground to get to , transports costs high and lots of folks on holiday however slightly surprised we haven’t sold more tickets so far ...looking forwards to my visit, cracking ground and great chippy nearby

  10. Putting to one side that he is a bloody decent bloke, community champion, leader and so on ...he is an excellent footballer ...at the end of his career has had the bottle and ability to completely adapt his game ..in years to come folks will remember his contribution during difficult times ...to play in that game against Wednesday , unfit and no contract was immense and should never be forgotten   ( getting a result in that game  probably saved us at best case from now being a League 2 club)

My missus is a forest fan - I know, ridiculous, I ask myself why daily - and their ticketing policies have been absolutely scandalous all year.

Her family have 2 STs between 4 of them and they couldn’t get tickets for all 4 because of customer number debacles, so only had 2 tickets to both the Liverpool cup game and Wembley. The Liverpool cup game they put online for sale at midnight by the way - because that’s completely normal. The website couldn’t handle it.

Real kicker was them having to move season ticket holders due to increased away capacity this season and they actually tried to charge those forced to move for the privilege because the seats they were going to were better. Needless to say they backtracked that one sharpish after backlash.

I’m not particularly into Forest and Derby tit for tat, as you can imagine being pretty close to it, but it’s all been pretty poor and anti-fan from them this year. Reminded me how we acted before we kind of got our stuff together for big games with high demand a number of years back.

The deliberately small away allocation ( Billy Davis move to half the Bridgeford. To stop Leicester having all of that end in SF play off) has come back to bite them , they have now lost Bridgeford  section which they have worked hard on which next to the A block gave them some vocal support ...those supporters will now be split up around the ground ....it was a petty minded ill thought out action ....

The way our ground is now configured is fantastic, South stand must be one the best vocal stands in the Country and SW upper ( where I sit) and East Stand next to the away fans are decent vocally .

Special rules apply for teams who have just been relegated. I think its 75% in first year or something. Either way I don't think the wage cap is the issue.. having enough players is more of a problem.

Kevin McGuire explained this on Radio Derby the other night, basically the % relates to turnover generated through normal commercial activity ( ticket sales , corporate)  you can however spend 100% of any additional £ received from transfer fees re ( Malcolm and any others that leave for a fee) plus any additional income an owner puts in

Derby actually will once takeover goes through  ?? be in a very strong position, no debt and no deadwood players impacting wage bill

Well me and my dad be on travels lets roar our lads onto safety let's roar them to another 3 points and get that gap down to 6 and do every in our power let's have sea of black and white in the away on. I am so looking forward to this. Everyone have a great time but please keep the drink to a minimum let's not give efl to punish us further.

Looking forwards to it B4, 2k supporters going is decent...we are on the 8.30 train ?, breakfast in Hammersmith then drinks ( suspect quite a few...ok tbh lots ...sorry ?) ,  near Hammersmith Bridge  ..should be a cracking atmosphere and hopefully our result is at least as good as Reading so we can stay alive

  14. Developing income streams is logical and sensible , live music makes sense pre and post match ...Cheap post match beer?

Accrington do the pre match music and post match cheap beer ..different scale and due to type of club do not seem to get issues with away fans ...

I occasionally go by train, the amount of folks who get something to snack on and a coffee while waiting for train...No shops near Pride Park...I am sure we could generate post match income from looking at say cobs, sweets, drinks ..just need to get organised and get pricing right!...don’t rip folks off

  15. Another allocation due midweek and on sale until 12th April ( DCFC website) , would great to take 2k plus

Been twice before, last time was first away game back in 1987 , 1st division, midweek and Gee scored..really hot night ..looking forwards to it, been wanting to go back for a few years but sadly most of away games v QPR have been midweek...Easter Monday perfect for a good day out

  16. Think you are sort of right, having said that anything over 25k would be an excellent crowd especially if Barnsley only bring say 2k max.

We have funding until end of season and ticket prices are high for this game compared to Peterborough and both those factors will negatively impact on crowd. Revenue should be decent though
