curb
It's not the fact that most teams don't bring the full allocation, the problem is that even if, say Reading bring 200 you can't sell the rest of the seats as ST's, because the next week it could be Leeds who want the full allocation of 4,000. So in effect you have to re-locate 4,000 ST holders. If there was a club that brought a small away following we used to try and sell the rest of the south stand to Derby fans, that doesn't seem to happen any more, they leave the whole area empty. Agree mate and that is what the change is really all about. Basically how PPS was done when it was first opened. The block in the South Stand next to the 15% allocation to be used first for ST holders with the opening up of further blocks for sales on day. Either way away fans will be in between of derby fans and this is important.

Asanovic
Does this mean we'd kick to the south stand in the second half?

Asanovic
Sounds good. We need a stand that can shout the ball in the net when we really need it.
therams69
Quite correct we do... The corner was buzzing v Forest but lets be honest that was always expected... Now imagine that behind the goal, would be better and even for the lower key games the atmosphere would still be better than what it is!
Donny Ram
I thought the SE corner was fairly quiet against Forest, or was it perhaps other parts of the ground were a bit noisier than normal...LOL

uttoxram75
It weren't just the SE Corner, thats what made it different. People further along the East Stand joined in. You always get the "come on derby" from the North Stand/NE corner on big matches then a big gap from the NE to the SE, Against Forest people stop moaning and get behind the team more. therams69
Update - the petition has been handed to the club last Wednesday for their consideration. I suggest if you know anyone that is still interested to please encourage them to sign it. My prediction is that we will get very heavily outsung by 1500 Palace fans today. Boycie
My prediction is the club ain't bothered. But, we'll all renew our season tickets and just carry on regardless, which the club know.

Hm, interesting then that people think that another 'big gap' full of away fans will help the atmosphere. Move the SE corner into the South stand and they'll always be on their own, 200 odd who want to sing isolated from the rest of the ground. It'll be immaterial soon anyway when the club say it's too much money/effort/disruption.
CommonsIsGod
I have signed the petition, dont think it will happen. Part of me wants it to and another doesnt. The ground was so loud against Forest, with both sides of the away end singing all game must have made it pretty intimidating? I've heard from forest fans that the south west were throwing stuff down etc. Being below the home fans will always be slightly intimidating. [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCQqF0uj1Vc]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCQqF0uj1Vc I love listening to our fans from the away point of view, that sounds very very loud. P.s, Ignore my name on here, not signed in since Commons was banging them in for us.
Alph
Palace gave a glimpse of what we should all be aiming for. The SE needs breaking up. Today we had no excuse to be so quiet. Good away following. Noisy away following. 3-0 up. Yet there's too many people refusing to sing until certain key people do first. Lots of conversation and playing on mobiles. 1996RAM
I don't see how the atmosphere can change so much from games like Leeds & Forest to what we saw today. I know everyone is more up for it with these games, but it's still the same thing, its singing , not hard!!
