Thought this was an interesting comment from young Ryan:

"The club are very positive, the training sessions are good and the atmosphere's fantastic. It's a good bunch of lads and the manager gives off positive vibes.

Sounds good behind the scenes.

I've read this again and cant find a moan/negative comment???

Just watched his ramsplayer interview and he said 'Derby are massive in the north east' and I thought, too bad its not the middle east otherwise we could be where Man Citeh are... 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Sounds like he is open for more time here, seems like he could be likely to stay... can't be bad! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Might shed some light. Seems they've loaned 6 or 8 out on the same basis. MON will decide whether to extend or whether they're wasting their time after a month. Seems sensible from their POV.

Seems very strange its just one month, unless something is happening in the next few weeks concerning a permanent deal or an extended loan until the end of the season?

After reading something posted on Watfords website from their football director who discusses loan deals

[url=http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2566532,00.html]http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2566532,00.html

He explains as U21 the loan system is more flexible and are called either 'youth loans' or 'work experience' which basically means the loans can continue throughout the season. Where as for over 21 it is the emergency loan period of 93 days which is then followed by a season loan with no call back. This would suggest why Addison has only been loaned out for a month as there prob would not be a call back. He can go back out to another club for 93 days tho

Must be bull poo. We all know that Nigel hates all the players and is completely incapable of running a training session without intentionally injuring at least one player.

We don't like loans unless there's a possibility of a permanent deal. And neither does Clough, I don't think. Three of our significant loan signings from last season joined us permanently in Ward, Robinson and Fielding. There was talk of us signing Bueno - it was more of a case of us chasing a different sort of player than the deal itself not being a possibility.

So I wouldn't rule out a permanent at the end of this. Maybe Sunderland will see how Wickham develops in the second half in the season and/or see who's available in the summer before making their decision about keeping him. No harm in letting Derby take him out for a test drive in the meantime.

I don't agree.

Sheffield United were looking too offload Jamie Ward to any takers and it was Clough that saw his potential.

Blackburn clearly didn't feel Fielding could make the grade and his loan was always with a view to a permanant.

Robinson couldn't get in the Millwall 16 therefore they were looking for any takers and again, Clough saw his potential.

Ryan Noble on the other hand is highly rated at Sunderland and is merely coming here for match practice.

Clough has brought him in as we need cover up top and the departing payers this month have allowed a little give in the finances meaning we can bring in one or two.
