Mary Hindge
Well I dont agree with half of what you have said McSilks 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> Robinson wanted a move back to midlands and with Noble think it is with a veiw to perm as his contract is out in summer! p.shilton
I think we would struggle to sign him on a permanent. There would be too much interest from other clubs- especially if his loan goes well.
Gary Teale
I don't agree. Sheffield United were looking too offload Jamie Ward to any takers and it was Clough that saw his potential. Blackburn clearly didn't feel Fielding could make the grade and his loan was always with a view to a permanant. Robinson couldn't get in the Millwall 16 therefore they were looking for any takers and again, Clough saw his potential. Ryan Noble on the other hand is highly rated at Sunderland and is merely coming here for match practice. Clough has brought him in as we need cover up top and the departing payers this month have allowed a little give in the finances meaning we can bring in one or two. If Sunderland rated him so highly his contract wouldnt be running out in the summer
The Scarlet Pimpernel
I think it's all comparative. He is rated at Sunderland to the degree he makes the bench. Big difference from Premier league to our league. He may have enough about him to become a very decent Championship striker. That's the gamble with any young (ish) player. mcsilks
If Sunderland rated him so highly his contract wouldnt be running out in the summer Maybe they are waiting to see if he can get a run of games and prove he isn't an injury prone disaster. p.shilton
ahh, if only we did that....Good idea to send him to us too, as if he is going to get injured anywhere it will be here!
Gary Teale
Maybe they are waiting to see if he can get a run of games and prove he isn't an injury prone disaster. Still if they rated him really highly he would be tied down to a contract as someone coming through the youth team wont command wages that will dent a established prem sides wage bill, well unless they are like the lad at Utd Morrison who has not played and expects 40k a week or what ever he is demanding
trekkie_ram
With him not being given permission to play in the FA Cup, this gives me serious doubts over the likelihood of this becoming permanent.
stubbornram
According to Sky , Noble has chosen to return to Sunderland and as he only seems to make the bench for us ; he was obviously no better than what we had . Is this an opportunity to bring in that headline loan / transfer deal before next seasons window as we did with Ward . Our striker have a " sameness" about them and none of them have 20 goal a season potential . They are good support players for a "Hulse" type frontman who hold up play and brings into play wide and central players but not the true Striker in the old fashioned sense . It could be a golden opportunity for the board to show they are willing to invest whilst Season Tickets are actually on sale ; its time for the Owners to show some ambition and create some confidence that they have a long term stratergy of continual improvement on the pitch and that they are not here just to make a fast buck . . -JW-
Well that was a worthwile move wasn't it. Slightly better than last year where he only made 1 sub appearance, this year, 1 start and 1 sub.

PistoldPete2
Great signing Good riddance . Lets get a good striker in. Not Sh1te like Noble or what we have at the moment. We havent had a decent striker since Dean Saunders signed for Liverpool.
