I’m thinking team would look like this… Evans Moore Aideyan Robinson Moloney D Robinson Hawkins Fapetu C Richards Wheeldon R Davies Which is not a bad side with 2 having first team and 3 more having u21 experience. in my opinion I would also take Z Dixon over Davies. I think a run in the cup is a target so expect them to play the strongest available at the time which this year is much stronger than last. These three have shared appearances in the past year with Sam Proctor of Aston Villa as England worked towards finalising their squad for this tournament. Curd and and Herrick are a year older than Jack and Proctor who are still only 15 and the latter two will still be eligible for this group for the two following seasons under FIFA age rules. Looking at how the rotation has proceeded, it seems that Curd and Jack at the moment are ranked as the top two for the whole tournament, although that can of course change. Curd had little to do yesterday and was let down for the goal by a slip from Forest defender Zach. Jack is hoping to play in at least one of the next two games - Georgia on Friday and Israel on Monday. Alexei Rojas Fedorushchenko of Arsenal is a year younger than Jack and Proctor. But he is very highly rated and is likely to be vying with Jack and Proctor next season as things stand. Jack seems well respected by the national coaches, both ability and attitude wise. Let's hope Derby can manage to hold on to him for now. This update comes from messages from his dad who is out in Georgia watching the tournament. Guest Posted October 31, 2022 Share Posted October 31, 2022 England U17 drew 1-1 this afternoon with Israel. In their previous game they beat Georgia 6-2. So they have topped the qualifying group by a point because Israel had only managed a draw with Lithuania. Jack Thompson was on the bench in all three games with Ted Curd of Chelsea playing in all three. Interestingly, in the three games, Curd made just three saves while conceding four goals.
