About half way through the second half before they had their first shot on target… Sunderland didn’t even play with a press so no real pressure on how they wanted to play…
Stuniverse
Were the three substitutes used against Sunderland U21s all trialists? Tamplin (for Brailsford, 71), Fevrier (for Burton, HT), Qureshi (for Hawkins, 81). Not used: Evans and Roberts… so we must’ve been really down to bare bones with two goalkeepers on the bench. Jayden Fevrier was released in summer by West Ham, and Jaami Qureshi by Brighton, so wouldn't be surprised if both of them have been offered trials here. Not so sure on Tamplin. Guest
Yes all 3 triallists. Roberts named but not on bench. Foulkes needed minutes and to be fair looked very rusty.

Apparently playing in the FA Vase this Saturday. I looked and there are 147 ties that day, so 294 teams involved. One of them clearly needed a goalkeeper at short notice, but it doesn't narrow it down much! Reggie Greenwood and Stuniverse 1
Guest
Evans has gone to Melton Town, he won’t be able to play in the Vase apparently because of amateur rules or something but will go into the team for the game against Anstey on Monday. Covering for their GK who is injured. It’s game time in Men’s football which will be a difference to academy games. Length of loan unsure at the moment think it may be a month

Guest
Young u18s team up at Man City today… 1-0 down first 2 minutes. To be fair a young (ish) Man City team too but this one could get painful…
Sussex Ram
U18s are 2-0 down after an hour. Lots of names in the lineup which I don’t recognise…can anyone shed any light? https://uk.soccerway.com/matches/2022/08/27/england/premier-academy-league/manchester-city-fc-under-18-academy/derby-county-fc-under-18-academy/3895906/ Stuniverse

Guest
Eligible but not playing in that team… Evans - Loan Richards - u21s Robinson - u21s Dixon - u21s Hawkins - u21s Maloney - injured Sebagdo - injured Those above would make a massive difference in that game. To be fair though u18s same as u21s this year are thinly spread although the development opportunities at the club for the boys in u16s, u18s and u21s is still huge compared to most clubs! Zion Dixon, not Connor. Plus first year scholars: Jaydan Davidson is also injured. Dan Cox, Jack Perry (missed most of last season with injury), and Dajaune Brown have not featured so far this season so possibly, although not confirmed, they are all injured as well?!?!
