Someone willing to invest sizeable amounts of money into improving the squad and keeping our best players, as its on the pitch where the investment is needed.

Also someone who listens to fans and doesn't make big changes like the changing the clubs badge to something pathetic or getting a terrible sponsorship deal without consulting with fans and other advisors about the consequences.

Would be good for them to be ambitious but not the sort who promises everything and delivers nothing, not too bothered about their nationality or age as long as they improve the club.

The problem with "listening to the fans" is that there's very rarely a unified opinion amongst the club's fanbase. In fact, it's not unusual for different fans to have completely opposite opinions. You only have to see some of the threads on here for evidence for that.

Good communication always key in any organisation.

Ownership that explains strategy to the fans which we can understand and  see as feasible/realistic. (No gross over promises.) is what I want.

Having access to cash essential also, but if it is not Arab billions so be it, but the owners must plan realistically with what they can access (and FFP allows them to spend). Again communication key as if the journey is a slow rebuild, let’s be honest about it.

Someone like sheikh mansour. Billionaire invested loads early on for success but wouldn't be surprised if city were self sustainable now

Appoints the best for footballing matters taking people from the barcelona board. Appoints a manager with attractive style of football. Invested heavy in the academy, invested loads in the local area.

Someone who knows what they don't know i.e. not to get too involved on the football side. Ideally, applying themselves to making the club sustainable whilst underwriting inevitable early losses. The ideal chairman should also ensure they maintain credibility by engaging with fans but not in a foolhardy or embarrassing manner.

Let’s not be unprepared....make it 20 years to be on the safe side, don’t want to rush things do we ?

Sarcasm aside, when building something, anything, the ground work is key

Someone with Mels love for the club and with his desire to succeed. Also with  his willingness to spend an absolute fortune of his own money to try to achieve success but without his complete incompetence in running a football club, would be ideal
