Draw confirmed, also a draw for Essex, but Somerset got on to complete a thrashing of Gloucestershire, putting them in pole position with 76 points. We have 71, Worcestershire and Essex 70, Yorkshire 66 and Middlesex 59.

Theres now a break, whilst the t20 games are played before the last match.

Maximum points from the final game seals it then, can't complain at that, as long as it's in our own hand ?

Can't ever remember Derbyshire getting so many batting points from so few games. I'm sure we've gone a normal full season before without getting as many as this year from 4 games?

?

You are not wrong. Getting bowled out for sod all in the first innings has been the Derbyshire way. Sometimes making a better fist of it in the second innings when there’s no points up for grabs.

Only Notts have more batting points than us, they also have the joint most bowling points. Not that it’s done them much good ???

Yorkshire score 220-5 in their innings, in the past I’d give ya no chance of chasing that down, maybe this batting line up has a bit more about it....

? it’s over already.

Got to 4 runs, not as bad as it could've been.

T20 isn't real cricket anyway.

Load of rubbish is pyjama cricket. We might have done it if Madsen didn’t cripple himself, I just hope it is not to serious and he’s fit for the proper cricket.

The team given the task to take us to the final of “the Bob”

The interesting selection is the 2nd leg spinner Mattie McKiernan, instead of Cohen. We still have 5 seam bowlers, so we’re not exactly short.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully we go back to our 4 day form, after a pretty dreadful time in the t20
