jimbo jones
71-3 Lancs steadied the ship with a good 3rd wicket partnership, before Dustin Melton got the breakthrough. He’s bowled well, and had a couple of difficult chances dropped too. Critchley got a bowl before lunch which was good to see, and he bowled well. The other teams in contention also making very good starts too, could be a lot of checking what bonus points teams have got on day 3 and

Annoyingly he was dropped by Madsen in his 40s, an absolute dolly at first slip. Think we’d be batting by now otherwise. Looks like low scoring games, so batting points will be massive. jimbo jones
Melton gets Bohanan in the 90s, his 3rd wicket. He’s getting better every game, and could be a huge player for us, for years to come. Can’t beat the bit of extra pace.

Prime Derbyshire. ? to be fair early wickets have tumbled in all the games, it certainly needs a recovery. If we can get 200 and a batting point we might still have a chance. Essex are 230-

Yeah, on a pitch that’s obviously difficult to bat on, that’s not the way to be getting out. To be honest if it wasn’t for dropped catches, we could and probably should have bowled Lancs out for under 150.

jimbo jones
120-7 at close excellent knock of 44no from Hosein, Mckiernan sticking with him. If Worcester can beat Somerset, it blows everything wide open. As much as our batsmen tried....it’s not over yet ?

jimbo jones
After an over, the umpires declared “we are digging this end out” basically the pitch is that soft, they haven’t got enough sawdust for the bowlers foot-holes which are becomes treacherous. Just the pitch you want to be playing on with a Lords final on the line ?
jimbo jones
100 partnership between Hosein & McKiernan. Absolutely fantastic from the pair, now it’s nerve wracking with that 200 coming into sight ?
