If the ref is badly positioned the lino has to give it. Wasn't hard to spot.

The lino's on the other side of the pitch too! No way there isn't someone in that mass of bodies blocking him.

The camera angle we saw was on the left touchline, perfect. 

 

Sometimes it's genuinely hidden from official's view. Unfortunate but a reality. Hence VAR.
