He'd be better off sending Andy Garner out but he usually does that after a big win and hardly ever after a defeat.

If the interviewer asks a stupid question looking for a response or a bite, Nige hasn't got the ability to bite his tongue at all, he says exactly what's on his mind at the time the question is asked.

It's a real shame that even the radio stations have turned to trolling.

Looking at yesterdays decision not to sign any more players looks like we've thrown in the towel and accepted that what will be will be.

not saying we're down, still praying for hoping for and even stupidly half expecting we'll get out of it. One thing he's always been very good at is grinding out a results when he needs it most.

Interesting to see the most activity on this thread in a long times is from those ready and willing to pounce and you all say you've no interest in what he or Burton do.

:-)

Did you used to call Derby and Sheff Utd “we”?

To summarise, Burton can't keep the ball out the net and that's because players are not doing their jobs, doesn't know why and the fans should ask them. He's never had a problem in 19 years but admits he could be doing it wrong. Don't blame the players though, blame Nigel, boo him, it was him that signed these players that are not good enough.

Oh, he's also got no idea how to change things but they will keep trying, 17 games left starting with Villa Saturday.

Was really inspiring stuff after losing 10 of the last 11 at home.

Lets see how we cope with losing week in week out if we get promoted.

It didn't take long last time for the club to start cracking under the pressure.

First ti e I've had the chance to listen to the reading interview.

Must say I was expecting something totally different.

I thought the lad asked some fair enough questions and Nigel gave some fair enough answers.

yes it got a bit spiky in parts but nothing overstepping the mark from either side really.

maybe the lad asking the questions laboured the point a couple of times by overall nothing too pushy.

nc is always going to be narky after a loss but I thought his answers were fairly reasonable and honest again.

seems there's two sides of the fence again. Me and my 'blind faith defence' of NC and those who look for any reason to have a pop.

thankfully there's a couple of middle grounders around to keep the balance eh?

I wish NC all the luck in the world as long as it's not at Forest and especially today.

We as in we the fans or Rowett?

Manager, chairman, fans, players

dealing with losing is the real test of how good the working relationships are.

I don't really get why some Rams dislike Nigel.

I've always admired Nigel as a player. (Who did he play for again?)?

As a manager he never seems to have been at a club that had much money for players.

He set Burton Albion on course for heights which even their most loyal supporters could never have dreamed they could reach.

His dad was always a bit of a character and still casts a massive shadow over him.

Towards the end of his tenure with the Rams I disliked the way he would sit slumped in his chair regardless of what was happening on the pitch. He exhibited a 'couldn't care less' attitude which would dishearten the keenest of players.

I like Nigel still and so, I reckon, do lots of Rams fans.

But then again I remember Tommy Docherty and John Gregory being in charge. Not to mention Nigel Pearson, which I won't.
