I give this thread 6 posts max

Why would you say that? I reckon it will get quite a few.

I like model railways and appreciate the effort and skill required to build and maintain them, wish I had that level of skill and commitment.

Do you wear a hat at the same time?

My post was a joke by the way. Each to his own.

Building a model railway in OO gauge in my basement at the moment.

Are any other railway builders out there?

Used to be mad on train sets when I were a yoof. Still got my 00 gauge track at the parentals.

I'll probably get all nostalgic when I hit 50 and start collecting again.

There are some pretty interesting hobbyists to follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/keshigom_p/

That was like me, but at 45.

I have built 3 layouts varying from 12'x12' to my current layout which is 12'x9' [must easier to develop].

I video them on Youtube then pull them apart and build another..............

DCC is what is what got me back into model railways, with the advent of sound being a plus point.

No but I have a massive u shaped ,landscaped? Scalextric in my den must have spent £1000's on it .Import my racing tyres from the states it was either that or a train set .

Question what's the similarity between train sets and a pair of boobs? Both were intended for kids but dads like playing with them the most.
