Imagine he's leaving because of their problems at board level? Their squad wasn't good enough last time they were in the PL and has got worse since, if they don't want to fund any strengthening then I suppose you can't blame him.

Waste of a promotion spot really, should rescind it and give it to us or Wednesday (but preferably us) ;)

Yes it is official. Something must be behind this.

Please don't let it be the England job

Don't think it is to do with England

Steve Bruce has left his role as manager of newly promoted Premier League club Hull City.

The 55-year-old, who did not take training on Friday, had said earlier this summer he was uncertain of his future at Hull, who are up for sale.

Bruce became Hull boss in 2012, and led them to promotion last season.

This week he was interviewed by the Football Association over the vacant England's manager role, which Sam Allardyce is set to take.

Bruce is now odds-on favourite with some bookmakers to return to former club Sunderland and replace Allardyce, if as expected he become England boss.

More to follow.

they're in deep trouble now, only 14 fit outfield players and the season about to start.  they need every point to sty up and starting the season in this way can't be helpful

Burnley to avoid bottom spot maybe?

Apparently he just hated his working conditions.

For instance, they wouldn't let him rearrange the manager's office. There was a huge picture on the wall of an ugly fat old woman which Bruce hated. He kept asking the club to move it but nothing changed. He even took it up with Chairman who investigated the situation, but to Bruce's amazement he just repeated the excuse that the staff had already given. Some rubbish about there being no picture on the wall, just some performance charts and a huge mirror in a frame.

Looking at their local rag pages and supporters points, it basically seems the owners were that fed up they didn't get the backing from the supporters or league regarding their name change to Tigers, they decided to sell the club, and not reinvest any of the 100 plus million into the club acquired from promotion . I feel for Bruce and the supporters, however could this be a potential "Worst team in history".....

If thats true and he owners dont find a buyer soon, Hull could come crashing down the leagues. A bit like the Oystons at Blackpool.

Just heard a NE journo on Talksport who reckons that Hull only have 12 fit first team players at present - with 3 weeks until the new season starts - shocking if true....

At the end of season party Steve Bruce got up and sang Smells like teen spirt on the karaoke, unfortunately he had had one too many shandies and got a bit carried away during the head banging bits, reports said it was carnage and there were numerous injuries and broken bones suffered by players and staff alike.
