The positives so far...

To counter some of the wrist slashing posts, here are a few positives I can think of…

  • Thorne is looking fit, strong and in good form
  • Shackell appears to have settled straight back in
  • After last night we can assume that Carson will be our settled no1 for the foreseeable future
  • SSwankambo looks like a decent prospect
  • We’re out the league cup so can concentrate on the league
  • Two home games coming up to look forward to

Any others???

1. We're unbeaten this season

2. We're just 1 game into the season

3. We've got quality players in Ince, Weimann, Martin, Shackell and Bent

4. We're out the cup, less games, more rest

5. This time next year we'll be in the Premier League and not be involved in the 1st round of the cup again

We're 2 points off top. Mathematically we win on Saturday and we could be first. But because we lose to a strong League Two team (shock, when has that ever happened?) our coach needs to be sacked after a grand total of ONE league game.

First home game of the season Saturday........................fresh pies!

Down-side....

Fleur-de-Lys pies (unless the pies at the Villareal game were a one-off). At least I got a decent Hollands pie at Bolton.

Only 45 more games until we get our hands back on this beauty !!

The winners of the Championship receive the Football League Championship trophy, the same trophy as the old First Division champions were handed prior to the Premier League's inception in 1992.
