Day
Here's a good article on hero and legends, probably says it better than I ever will. With ticket prices rising, the regular punter being forced out of the stands and into the nearest pub and with chief executives arguing that football is little more than an
AndyinLiverpool
I voted 'neither', not to diminish Paulo's status but because I didn't want to say that either of you were right.

Shaftesbury Street
Cult (hero) players tend to be a bit **** but give their all for the club. Whereas to be a club legend you need to have done something a bit special. Doing this, makes him fall into the legend category for me.

uttoxram75
Hero for me. Kevin Hector is a legend. Paolo wasn't here long enough to be a legend but he'll always be a hero for the best away match of all time! (that ok boss?)

Duracell
Legendary status is reserved for those that actually contributed to our history. The late 90s were great and everything, but they'll be forgotten eventually. It's only because it's our last successful period that they're talked about in any meaningful way. Kevin Hector is a legend, Steve Bloomer is a legend, Raich Carter is a legend, Jimmy Methven is a legend...or, rather, they deserve legendary status. I bet a lot of fans would have to Google the last two. Gordon Guthrie deserves to be as well. I find it weird that players who had a couple of good seasons to help us to an upper mid table finish in the top flight get called "legends" sooner than players that actually helped us win something, or remained with the club for a length of time. Wanchope is a hero. Nobody will have heard of him in 50 years' time though.
i-Ram
Here's a good article on hero and legends, probably says it better than I ever will. http://www.footballfancast.com/premiership/what-are-the-ingredients-of-a-cult-hero-in-football This has the whiff of a rigged poll. Daveo calling an election, posting articles that make sense, and also slipping backhanders. I think we should ignore the facts and simply vote on a poster popularity or personality ticket. Boycie it's going to be a landslide victory my boy.
Animal is a Ram
As I said in the other post about hero/legends - the terms mean different things to different people. To me, legend. As with the promotion winners of 95-96, and Eranio, Baiano, Asanovic. The prime of DCFC as I know it.
Angry Ram
I voted 'neither', not to diminish Paulo's status but because I didn't want to say that either of you were right. Beat me too it.. Whats worse Daveo or Boycie. Perhaps that should be a pole?
Ambitious
Wanchope is a cult hero - way, way, way off from being a legend though. The only player from that era that could be classed as a legend is Stimac.
Daz_The_Ram
Most of the time, Wanchope looked utterly ridiculous, flattered to deceive, and frustrated the hell out of everyone. His Old Trafford goal was a legendary moment, but he was by absolutely no means whatsoever, a legendary player. Cult hero? Maybe.
Dale The Ram
I was two when he left Derby and ive heard of Paulo Wanchop so he must be a bit of a legend but that must mean Steve Bloomer is demi-god in comparison

ossieram
Neither. He was ok and scored some cracking goals. But he wasn't here long enough to be a legend and didn't do enough to be called a hero.
Ram a lamb a ding dong
Tend to agree that cult sits better than others. Bucko will be on that list in a few years.
