Ram a lamb a ding dong
I long for the days of yore when signings were announced on Ceefax. Saunders and Harford were announced late at night on page 303.

IlsonDerby
what an anti climax that report was... but an interesting take on it is, if Derby have not bid for Francis then where have the rumours come from? not just one bid but supposedly two bids...somebody check whether Mr Francis is due a new contract Another point to look at would be if Derby are saying that plans for a 2.5m bid for Thorne are premature then are West Brom simply slipping that figure out into the tabloids for other potential suitors to see? inter politics
Still has two years on his contract so if they don't want to sell, can't see us paying above and beyond for him.
InigosLeftPeg
We can get better, younger right backs on loan. But if he did sign I wouldn't mind - he's been solid for Bournemouth

Animal is a Ram
Neill Blake has confirmed that two bids from Derby County for Simon Francis have been turned down, before insisting AFC Bournemouth will not be forced into selling assets this summer. I think you are right. Derby nowadays conduct themselves in a far more dignified manner than the others who just go running off at the mouth whenever it suits them (i.e. when they need to pacify the fans or sell season tickets). The media might have been asked to play it down by the club. If Bournemouth announce that they rejected a bid, it's fairly safe to assume that we made a bid. duncanjwitham
Depends what you classify as a bid. If Rush calls their chief exec and asks if Francis is available and he says no, is that a bid? If we ask if he would be available for
